Did anyone else notice Blue Meth in Merle's goodie bag?

That was a pretty boring episode. It was a little Falling Skies-ish, where they would pair off two or three characters to do a little special-moment scene together. The end, at least, made me think the next episode could be good.

Last night's episode was pretty weak. At first I thought it might have a lot to do with only having an hour to fit all kinds of content into, then I realized a good movie with loads of content and character development is generally only 2 hrs. long...
|
I fast forwarded like 20 minutes and didn't feel like I missed anything at all.

You guys are not motivating me to watch this today.

I agree that last night's episode was pretty lame. I wanna see some zombie killing, dammit!

There was nothing wrong with the episode.
When they have a slow episode on Breaking Bad or Mad Men nobody really complains. It's only the second episode, it takes a while to build shit up. On another note I want to talk about Shane to those who have read the comics.
Spoiler!

I get that it was necessary to move the plot in a certain direction, but it was boring (to me). I'm not sorry for saying it was boring. I still like the show and I think it's better than most other stuff out there, but it was just kind of a dull episode.
At least when Breaking Bad is boring I feel like there's a tension. For the most part last night I didn't feel any tension. |
All action episode = "they aren't building up the characters, etc.."
Slower episode with more discussion = "not enough action!" I don't see the "Lostifying" whatsoever. |
I didn't have a problem with it. Thought it was an effective setup episode. As far as "lostifying", they had flashbacks last year, so that's nothing new.
