I'm starting to recognize when I'm working different muscle groups, so he's showing me dead lifts and some other different things next week. I'm looking forward to it. I want to try new things to add the my arsenal of things to push myself with.

15-20? Im not as fitness savvy as Silock, but isn't that too much? You'd probably be better off getting to 12-15 reps. If you can consistently get to 15-20 reps, I think it would just be better off to go to more weight to get to 12-15 reps.

15-20 is *okay*, but not ideal. I concur with 12-15.

Trust me. I prefer 15...lol. 20 kicks my ass. I hate lowering the weight!

I do split circuits right now, followed by intervals (treadmill inclines, row machine, and prowler). He's already shown me other stuff to do. Wall balls kick my ass. And of course that's also when he shows me the joys of pushing and then pulling the prowler. On pulling the prowler, he yells "It's easier the lower you get." I yell back, "My quads don't like me right now, and they like you even less." lol

I'm really bad at finding meals to cooks. I feel like salmon, eggs and chicken with a side of veggies are my only three good meals that I cook.

Can anyone name some more healthy meals you like to eat? Because this is starting to get old. I need more variety.

How are you seasoning your chicken? There are many ways.

I have a go-to spice mix that I put on mine. Chili powder, masala powder, turmeric, garlic, pepper and ginger. I have it all mixed up in a big tub so I don't have to mess with it every time I want chicken.

A lot of times I'll have a whole-wheat pita and some hummus in place of a meal. Lots of different kinds of hummus.

And there's tons of low-calorie ready-made soups. Or you can make your own big batch at the start of the week and chuck in the fridge.

It's processed foods, but, as a snack I like taking two slices of thin sliced turkey breast and wrapping it around a light string cheese. Two of those is 25g of protein.

I'm also a fan of tuna and tilapia fish-wise. Just watch for and avoid farm raised tilapia (and salmon, too).

Crustless quiche recipe?

Simply Red 03-20-2014 10:44 PM

I also like nuts and dried fruits, as a splurge.

But really I live on Chicken, Eggs, SOME beef, cheerios, oranges, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, etc etc... I rotate ON Chocolate Malt and Blue Bonnet Strawberry protein powder. If I mess with milk it's skim. I add Chia and ground flax seeds.

Oh I'll add natural peanut butter as well. I do get a cheese block per every couple of weeks.

Ok sure - It's real easy - I'll put one together for you - I usually freestyle it.

but i always carmelize onions and add bacon - I add chopped green onions prior to hitting the oven. I like a swiss for that -

I'll put up something more specific and the actual procedure over the weekend - if you don't see it soon - pls. poke me.
