Was it god mode? Cause his first half was just as good as Luck's 2nd half.

No, it was damn good given he scored on the takeaways.

Cool. I would say that and I'd also say "Yeah, getting 6 points in 5 possessions in an issue as well". I guess it's kind of a small picture/big picture thing.

And I'd say 44 points without you're best player is all you should need.

See that is the simple disconnect here.

Some of us aren't blaming just ex Smith for the loss, but we see him as part of the blame for not winning. When it was time to win, he didn't get it done, simple as that.

See the difference?

No. When you have a 28 point lead, you expect the D to do its job and not completely shit itself.

What is he suppose to do, catch the ****ing ball too?

JFC he made the play, let it go.

44 points, period, is all you should need.

People just wanna blame Smith because they hate him. It's that simple.

Well it is a message board, and we are clearly all nitpicking the loss, that is what we do.

See, that has been my definition of a franchise QB for sometime now.

Come from behind wins, on the last drive when there is no room for error and your ass is against the wall. A true franchise QB overcomes adversity, puts the team on his back and gets it done, like Andrew Luck did.

We have seen it many times from the likes of Elway, Brady, Manning, etc. So far, Alex just doesn't fit that criteria IMO.

He just may end up being the best QB this team has ever had though, I hope.

The D shitting itself was pathetic without question and you don't see me defending them, other than they gave him 4 short field turnovers. Indy's gave Luck just one.

I guess you are just not able to grasp the concept.

Alex can't do a damn thing about what the D does, he controls the offense.

On this day, as in several of the games after the bye, he needed to keep scoring, and he didn't. Simple as that.

44 points. That should always be enough to win.

Is it Smith's fault Bowe couldn't come down in bounds? Is it his fault a lousy bubbe-screen was called on the final drive of the game? Is it his fault the O-line protection crumble in the 2nd half?

I'm not one to make excuses, but blaming, solely, Alex Smith for not keeping up the scoring is pretty dang asinine. Were you blaming Smith for not continuously scoring against the Chargers in the first game, too?
