Just like when Charlie Weis "cleaned up" the poor grades? (Lulz). We are in Charlie's 4th year right now. Weren't we supposed to be patient until year 4?

Charlie was horrible the guy didn't even try.

It makes a lot of sense to run a fast tempo offense when your defense is total shite.

KU reminded me of Memphis a couple of years ago, honestly. Not altogether hopeless, just very thin and incredibly inexperienced. We lost to an FCS school and everything, then kept hanging around, then started winning, then won 9 in a row? IDK IT'S FUN GOOD LUCK

The problem with them is, their football facilities is not very good at all.

This. Not smart, IMO

I think the coach is going with what he knows. Can't fix everything all at once. It's gonna take at least a couple of years of good recruiting. And that's assuming the coaching is good, which I don't know for sure either way at this point.

WTF are you talking about? KU got brand new facilities just a few years ago. The players have good facilities. The stadium is in dire need of upgrades, sure.

I agree. There are simply too many problems with the roster to get overly frustrated at anything. The way to build this program is to focus on the positives. I can't stand people who continually run everything down as if KU was competing for the conference title this year.

The offense again looked good. NO TURNOVERS. Which was a nice adjustment from last week's game.

The defense just doesn't have the players to compete at this point so as long as the heart is there and mistakes are kept to a minimum I'm happy. They got 3 turnovers but gave up huge yardage which isn't going to change until the roster fills out and there is size up front and depth in the back.

I really think Beaty should use the remainder of his season examining quarterbacks. Ford and Willis need reps. Cozart's ability has been shown at this point and I don't think I need to see anymore. I want to know what these other guys can do.

And I don't mind the quick offense even though the defense is outmatched. That's the system. You don't change it.

It's a tough deal for the bottom 2/3 of D1 football and basketball programs. It's a vicious cycle: Have to win to keep fans coming, and fans have to come to keep winning. There are some places (Michigan football, Ibdiana basketball) where the fans will pack it even in the occasional lean years but most programs rely on momentum. KU football had very good crowds under Fat Man but we won't with a bad team and frankly, why should they?

Most schools are in the perpetual attendnace trap and few are immune

Long way to go but Beaty has his first commit for 2017.

Time for me of that pretty ball Mr. Willis throws.

I know nothing of this kid...other than he is a local.

He threw two passes on Saturday that were better than any thrown by a KU quarterback since Reesing.

I guess KU didn't win Iowa State Bowl.
