He has been locked in for 4 innings. That 'junk' the Royals keep swinging through isn't junk at all - he's got that power breaker snapping hard and late.

He was definitely their best bet to get through that inning unscathed. Him losing that fastball was the best thing that could've happened for KC because I just don't see how they'd have straightened him out.

This wasn't like when he left in Kazmir, who was up in the zone and had no secondary pitches to speak of. McCullers was firing.

Better question - with Sipp and Perez in the 'pen, why do you go to Harris against the lefty Gordon?

Perez and Sipp have the platoon advantage, Perez has looked particularly sharp and both guys (being lefty) should've been able to hold the runner at 1b a little better.

That's a really odd call by Hinch but Gordon bailed him out by swinging at some pretty poor pitches.
