Yes I watched the play and he was fully prepared to destroy him. Shoulder lowered, helmet lowered, waiting on him to catch the ball. 11:53 of this video does not look like a defender who has no chance to make a big hit:

Seriously, I will never understand what the fanboys see in this guy. Even his damn name is generic! "Alex Smith" sounds like a name that Madden would auto-generate for your draft pick in franchise mode. And on the field, he's the most boring player in the league by far. It's downright bizarre.

Hell, you whine about the KC defense. TTU wishes they had the equivalent of KC's choking defense. They would have won a hell of a lot more games with Mahomes.

What's his winning percentage in the NFL?

Coming from the reerun who constantly creates the worst threads on CP. What is it about football talk that you have contributed that is so insightful?

I've been reading this place for 5 years and you've provided NOTHING.

To you he failed. To most the TEAM failed.

There was a time when I thought the reason Smith hadn't been to the Super Bowl (as a starter) was because of 2 muffed punts. I had not seen many 49ers games, and didn't know any better. I came to realize later that it shouldn't have came down to 2 muffed punts, as many here tried to convey!

I logged on to book tickets for a college reunion golf trip and got side tracked in this cess pool. Shame on me.

I wonder how long until more developments come along... too bad Clay won't be around to discuss it.

What makes you think that? I mean seriously...

You’re right but that ball is catchable regardless of the defender being there. Ask Wilson if he should’ve caught it? I’m willing to bet he’ll say yes.

Yup because the refs screwed the 9ers as much as those muffed punts did, with a forward progress call.

I'm sure he would say that. And I'm sure if you gave Alex truth serum and asked him if you were a receiver, what would you do in this situation? He would probably say I'd protect myself same as Wilson did. 99.9% of the players in the league would protect themselves in that situation.

I think it was a pretty good throw by Smith, but the decision to go deep when you need 9 yards for a first down...just seems like a bad decision whether it came from Reid/Nagy or Alex himself. 3rd and 4th down were flat out botched.

My anti Smith threads seem to be pretty popular right now I got 9 positive rep on just 1 post I made.

How does it feel to be the most hated poster on CP Tiger ?

We all still remember when Bob Dole use to have your back bitch boy.

TigeRRUppeRRcut 01-07-2018 09:36 PM

If you have your hands on the ball, it's catchable.
