No argument from me. It's aggravated by the fact that he was clearly angry, but I don't think he should pay any serious penalty. This really should be resolved by a small settlement and dropping the charges, but he ought to expect a suspension too.

I have always said that he pushed him harder than was right for the situation and he deserves some sanction.

Not sure why the majority opinion on Chiefs Planet is that makes sense to file a city case with a maximum fine of $1,000 for this case when there were KCPD officers observing the incident and aftermath and not doing anything about it.

Perhaps those KCPD officers and yellow shirts at the tunnel were supposed to keep that pathway clear so that clumsy mother****ers don't just run into visiting players and coaches using the only path to leave the field.

The idea that the clumsy mother****er was just doing his job is bullshit. It was not his job to fast walk across the path without looking and without checking with the yellow shirts and police to make sure the coast was clear.

Considering that visiting players like Adams pay tens of thousands of dollar in state and local taxes to play at Arrowhead and Chiefs players pay no taxes on their game checks in Las Vegas, it was not necessary to issue a ticket.

Looks like they did Adams a huge favor since NFL seems to be using the "let the legal process" play out for something that would clearly be sanctionable as misconduct in uniform at a game.

I suppose NFL, NFLPA and Chiefs know that the negligence of the Chiefs game operations staff and the clumsiness and mother****erness of the clumsy mother****er mitigate the culpability of the player.

So according to you, when the car that runs the red light gets T-Boned and the car with the green light was going 5 mph over the limit the driver with the green light is more culpable if driver of green light car meets your definition of thug based on skin color?

It is only gross negligence because you're buying this ridiculous narrative the big media markets want to drive, driven by delusional Raiders fans, that this kid was so egregiously reckless. He wasn't. Photographers are constantly swarming players as they head to the tunnel.

The kid made a clumsy mistake. It wasn't some massive breakdown of security or gross recklessness on his part. It was a harmless accident. And no, I don't think a guy who makes a living getting bashed by helmets was in some major danger of an errant tripod.

This is the type of thing that likely happens every week in the NFL. You know what doesn't happen? A player shoving that person for making the oh so unforgiveable crime of getting in the way. Worse, people justifying it because "he was angry." So what? If Bellichick has to be dragged into a muttering press conference, Adams can keep his hands to himself with the media.

I don't think many here are defending the lawsuit. We all know that's crazy. But that is different from trying to pin the lion's share of the blame on the kid for what he did on the field in order to absolve Adams of what was blatantly wrong.

There were at least 2 cops standing right there that saw the incident or the aftermath and they did not do anything.

That should be explained.

Also, folks in this thread that have been critical of me need to explain why no immediate suspension for misconduct in uniform immediately after game.

Why not follow precedent?

Just because KCPD signed a bullshit ticket with a small fine if found guilty.

There is video of this.

I guess being shoved by a professional football player twice your size when you are not expecting it makes you clumsy! :doh!:

Photographer shoved by Raiders WR Davante Adams after Chiefs game files lawsuit

A student photographer who was shoved by Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams last October has filed a lawsuit against Adams, the Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs, among others.

Park Zebley, a Kansas City, Missouri, resident, filed the lawsuit in the circuit court of Jackson County.

Following a loss to the Chiefs on Oct. 10, 2022, Adams was exiting the field when Zebley ran in front of him.

Adams then shoved Zebley to the ground before he continued walking toward a tunnel at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Adams was later cited for assault for the shove.

Zebley claimed in the lawsuit that as a result of the shove, he "feared for his life" and had to be driven to the hospital where he was later diagnosed with concussion symptoms.

In the days that followed, Zebley claims media and Raiders fans discovered his identify, and he began receiving death threats.

The lawsuit also names the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority and Landmark Event Staffing Services as defendants.

Landmark was providing security for the Chiefs that game and the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority also provides additional security, according to the suit.

The lawsuit alleges the Chiefs, Landmark and the Jackson County Sport Complex Authority "failed to provide the requisite amount and quality of on-field security."

The lawsuit alleges the group failed to keep Adams separated from Zebley, and failing to properly train security staff to keep Adams away from Zebley, among other things.

Zebley has sued Adams for one count of battery for the shove.

He's also suing the Raiders on one count of vicarious liability and ratification and one count of negligent supervision.

The Chiefs, Landmark and Jackson County Sport Complex Authority are being sued for one count of negligence.

The Chiefs had no comment on the suit.

Didn't provide enough security? They should have stopped you from running in front of him? Because you did something stupid? Ya he can go **** an aids tree.

MVChiefFan 05-26-2023 06:34 AM

I hope he loses. Beuhler is going to be named in the suit shortly for calling him “dorky” and hurting his feelings.
