Andrews worries me. He is their biggest weapon. It will be interesting to see if he's back to "normal" this game as it will be his first game back since his injury.

Game comes down to how Andy Reid game plan's against this defense. He thoroughly out coached the Bills. Reid schemed Kelce wide open when the bills were switching their defense. Had the running game humming. Bills were never able to stop the Chiefs. The Ravens D coordinator is an unknown entity and is young. He's not in Michigan and he's not playing the Texans. Reid could put him through the ringer.

All true. But he has much, much better talent to work with. AJ Klein was in an RV when the Bills called. Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen are total studs. Kyle Hamilton might be the best safety in the league currently. This will be a hell of a chess match.

DL is gonna be huge in this game...the Texans were in Lamar's ass in that first half thanks to their DL constantly winning and Ryans dialing up slot and other blitzes.

Everyone has said it but I'll reiterate...keep Lamar in the pocket and make him beat you with his arm. He may get a few here or there but he won't be able to do it consistently over 4 quarters.

I'm not even worried about the offense, the way the Ravens play D and the way their coordinator calls it, it plays right into our hands. Please blitz and be uber aggressive, I dare you...

All the pressure—literally ALL of it—is on Lamar Jackson. Give me Mahomes playing with house money every ****ing time.

They do have a strange curse surrounding them recently.

Every team that beat them in the playoffs since 2019 lost the next week.

Texans in 2019, Chiefs in 2020, Chiefs in 2021, Bengals in 2022.

Let’s break that trend.

I saw some draw parallels in this matchup to the Bucs/Packers NFCCG - very fair I think

For me, I can also see some Patriots/Chiefs AFCCG in this one

I remember going into that game, I thought we were winning for certain. New England had looked vulnerable all year, even lost like 2 of their last 3 or 4 regular season games.

Then… we know what happened. Sure we gave the game away, but Mahomes kept us in it that night. NE had a bunch of dudes who had been there done that and knew what it took to compete in a spot they probably shouldn’t have won.

This is why I can’t see this one being a blowout either which way.

Chiefs 31
Ravens 24
then on to Las Vegas

Ravens season ticket holder here (**** me, AIDS fire, etc.).

Totally nervous for the game, solely because of Patrick Mahomes. The KC defense is good, too, but a lot of teams have good defenses. PM is just a generational talent that plays his best football in the playoffs, as you well know.

Think it will be a good game, and likely within 4 points or so either way. I've seen some people talk about Andrews with mixed reactions, but one user pointed out that he thinks Andrews will actually mess with the chemistry (paraphrasing). I TOTALLY agree. I love Andrews, but likely has been fantastic, and we've been playing the best football since 2019 since Christmas, so I'm a bit nervous to mess with that.

That's an interesting point...Likely has been playing really well, I don't know that I'd mess with it either.

Karlaftis seems like such a funny loving dork... in a good way. His teammates seem to love him.

Oh hey, that was me. Glad I may not sound crazy discounting the return of a top tight end!

They wouldn't be the first team to run into the chemistry issue. He's still your best contested catch guy so that comes in handy, but Lamar would be best served to just pretend he still isn't there and only throw it to him when he is in fact open or one-on-one in the end zone.

Welcome and yes please consume anti-freeze. ;)

Just to be clear here, the Ravens lead the league in sacks, but we are actually 25th in the league in blitz percentage at 21.9% of the time. For comparison the Chiefs are second in the league in sacks just barely behind us and are 7th in the league in blitz percentage at 32.9%. Ravens have had a ton of success this year with pressure from the DL, with Justin Madubuike having an absolute monster year and Clowney tying his career high in sacks at 9.5.

Yep! And if Andrews plays, I'm still going to be happy (how could you not be), but that chemistry issue will be in the back of my mind. But if he's fully healthy and ready to go, you gotta put him in.

Welcome and thanks for not being an ass.. Yet…LMAO.. You’re LBs are outstanding.. Getting our running game going will be a problem… Kelce will have to work hard to get catches… But you have Patrick’s full attention and that’s not a good thing..
