Game comes down to how Andy Reid game plan's against this defense. He thoroughly out coached the Bills. Reid schemed Kelce wide open when the bills were switching their defense. Had the running game humming. Bills were never able to stop the Chiefs. The Ravens D coordinator is an unknown entity and is young. He's not in Michigan and he's not playing the Texans. Reid could put him through the ringer.

DL is gonna be huge in this game...the Texans were in Lamar's ass in that first half thanks to their DL constantly winning and Ryans dialing up slot and other blitzes.
Everyone has said it but I'll reiterate...keep Lamar in the pocket and make him beat you with his arm. He may get a few here or there but he won't be able to do it consistently over 4 quarters. I'm not even worried about the offense, the way the Ravens play D and the way their coordinator calls it, it plays right into our hands. Please blitz and be uber aggressive, I dare you... |
All the pressure—literally ALL of it—is on Lamar Jackson. Give me Mahomes playing with house money every ****ing time.

Every team that beat them in the playoffs since 2019 lost the next week. Texans in 2019, Chiefs in 2020, Chiefs in 2021, Bengals in 2022. Let’s break that trend. |
I saw some draw parallels in this matchup to the Bucs/Packers NFCCG - very fair I think
For me, I can also see some Patriots/Chiefs AFCCG in this one I remember going into that game, I thought we were winning for certain. New England had looked vulnerable all year, even lost like 2 of their last 3 or 4 regular season games. Then… we know what happened. Sure we gave the game away, but Mahomes kept us in it that night. NE had a bunch of dudes who had been there done that and knew what it took to compete in a spot they probably shouldn’t have won. This is why I can’t see this one being a blowout either which way. |
Chiefs 31
Ravens 24 then on to Las Vegas |
Ravens season ticket holder here (**** me, AIDS fire, etc.).
Totally nervous for the game, solely because of Patrick Mahomes. The KC defense is good, too, but a lot of teams have good defenses. PM is just a generational talent that plays his best football in the playoffs, as you well know. Think it will be a good game, and likely within 4 points or so either way. I've seen some people talk about Andrews with mixed reactions, but one user pointed out that he thinks Andrews will actually mess with the chemistry (paraphrasing). I TOTALLY agree. I love Andrews, but likely has been fantastic, and we've been playing the best football since 2019 since Christmas, so I'm a bit nervous to mess with that. |

They wouldn't be the first team to run into the chemistry issue. He's still your best contested catch guy so that comes in handy, but Lamar would be best served to just pretend he still isn't there and only throw it to him when he is in fact open or one-on-one in the end zone. Welcome and yes please consume anti-freeze. ;) |
