It’s crazy how high the expectations are for this program.

After winning the toughest conference in the country outright and getting a 1 seed, that was really like a C+ season overall.

For most schools, that was the dream season.

And coming off a NC season, losing 75% of their offense... other blue bloods have made NIT appearances in such situations.

the way the refs called the game played a major part in how the game played out, especially with zero bench that KU has.

My biggest beef is that the refs were horrible (for both sides), but were wildly inconsistent as to what a foul was (letting major holding and hacking go on one possession, and then a ticky-tack foul in the next that shouldnt have been called).

That all said, Self would have left the building with a win.

halfway through the 2nd half (or sooner), I would have switched to zone, considering Ark couldnt shoot from the outside (and to protect my players in foul trouble).

Disagree completely on refs, 3/4 best Arky players fouled out . If anything that’s our advantage.


And I do agree on Self. Norm gave up 45 in the second half by sticking with man and letting Davis drive to his left endlessly. Also, man surrenders more 2nd chance points whuch they beat us 15-2


Norm basically is a clown, far as I can tell

Bitching about the refs is different than "the refs cost us the game".

The refs were terrible, probably worse for them than us but that's like saying Herpes is worse than Syphilis.

Like DJJasonP said, the inconsistency was horrible.

Yeah, it was just an awful game to watch... two Arkasas guys fouled out as well, so it really has nothing to do with any one-sidedness, it was just terrible basketball.
