Wow. 3.1 mile run this morning on the mean streets of Branson was rough. Combination of no exercise, humid weather, and new shoes being broken in made for a tough go. I did it though, and it felt great when I was done. Time to get back in the rhythm. 2 straight days of 24 hour fasts should help.

...so a 48 hr fast....?

No. I ate last night after 24 hours, and then did it again today.

Does anyone know any tricks to cure really bad tennis elbow? I've got it BAD in the right arm and a little in the left. It looks like lifting, biking, & racquetball everyday has caught up to me.

I haven't lifted in a week. I can't even shake hands or lift a coffee pot without pain.

My elbows were hurting after pullups & they just kept getting worse and worse.

Well, I think my elbow got frostbite yesterday from all of the ice.

Time? TIME????? WTF do you want from me???? I've been off the court & out of the gym for NEARLY A WEEK and you throw TIME up in my face?!?!?!?!?!?! :D

That brings me to my next question: Does anyone know where I can find some patience?

Hey, you play Tennis? I've played most all of my life. LOL

Omaha 08-08-2010 09:57 AM

I love tennis. I used to play a lot. I moved to Omaha several years ago & stopped because I didn't have anyone to play. I just picked it up again a couple of years ago & racquetball has really ruined my backhand. I need to find someone to play regularly so I can knock the rust off.

Friday morning I ran the Little Blue Trace Trail. Goes from just north of 24 to 70. Supposed to be 13 some odd miles but if the mile markers are any indication, there is no way. Last mile marker I saw was marker 10 just north of 39th street. There is no way 39th street to 70 is 3 miles.
Anyway, the most I've ever ran was 6 miles, I do that 3-4 times a week. The last couple miles were sluggish, but the rest went great. I recommend that trail for anyone in the area.

Google mapped it, 12.2 miles from where I started and ended. A little disappointed it wasn't 13 like someone had told me.

took a little over a month of doing nothing and a cycle of prednisone to get over mine. Still have some pain on occasion.

Ugh! Thanks for the heads up. I REALLY don't want to take a month off, but the pain is so bad at this point that I don't have a choice.

Damn! I'm scheduled to get all of my new racquetball equipment next week! This will be torture.

Take a month off and work hard on your cardio. It will be over before you know it. I mean, what's 1 month in comparison to no pain and the rest of your life?

Update for my diet:

MOTHER. OF. ****.

Didn't make it at all like I wanted today. Had a few crackers when I woke up (11 Ritz crackers). Fasted the rest of the day. Played soccer for 2 hours from 7-9.

Then... I went to Sonic and all Hell broke loose. Mozzarella sticks, large jumbo popcorn chicken, and a large Oreo blast.

So, my net calorie expenditure for today is probably 0. Not what I wanted to do. Could be worse, but ****. Sure isn't helping that I want to drop 5 pounds in 2 weeks. Oh well. Can't control how much I weigh today, but I can control my next meal. Time to buckle down.
