yea man, he was kinda talkin a lot of shit when he got to Milwaukee too.

I wouldn't care though. They're pros, who the **** cares what they think, just do as you're paid to do.

oh hey, we apparently threw away $2MM to sign a terrible-fielding utility guy who is barely replacement-level. Sure, we could pick up a dozen guys for the league minimum who could give us the same, but we're Kansas City, we've got money coming out the ass, why not let it rain!

Giavotella, please be good. Wait, no, too much. Please be OK. That is all I ask, I wasn't counting on you for anything before, but now I am, put in a credible performance and hold on to your job, please.

His attitude was a major problem, though he had some talent.

He never looked real happy in the dugout once he came over. I guess I can understand leaving a team that, at the time, was supposed to win out

He was upset the Pizza, Chicken, Xbox, and Beer had to come to an End. I'd be pissed too

Honestly, why not save $1.5M to throw Oswalt's way and spend $500K on your utility guy?

This

However, I'm way too use to this Dayton Moore type stupidity to be pissed off about this.

Greinke was my favorite player in the MLB until I saw him pitch in the postseason...

and now, no thank you. He's not a winner.

Wait, what? You mean there are potentially other implications to signing Betancourt beyond just the suck on the field and the perpetual fear that he'll wind up as our everyday second baseman?

Dayton, why do you force me to have to ****ing hate you so much?

Shogun 12-21-2011 12:19 AM

I dont care, Solid offseason regardless.

Someone posted on Royals Review that Andres Blanco signed a minor league deal a day or two ago with the Mets. Blanco is a guy that can actually play multiple infield positions competently, and we could have had him for peanuts.

He's a fringe player as a starter. He's well above average as a backup.

He does not fit all three. He has barely played any position other than SS, how the hell does that make him a utility infielder? Is he utility becuase that is what the Royals are trying to make us believe. As said before, utility guys are generally glove first, his glove barely plays at SS.

Sure he has a little pop and is right handed but that does not make him a good fit at the position we are being told he is going to play on the team.
