Yeah, these guys haven't slept well at night for the last 4 weeks. Once Alex loses they can finally go to bed with a smile on their faces.

Oh definitely. The Planet melts down after every loss. A lot of batshit crazy posters here.

Read this on this link about (2013/10/1/4791646/kansas-city-chiefs-alex-smith-numbers-stats-on-pace on arrowheadpride) Smith's pace for this year statistically:

Alex Smith in attempts 31-40 in games: 17/26, 7.19 YPA, 3 TDs, 1 INT, 109 rating. So in other words, he’s not getting worse the more he throws… he’s getting better.

Smith on 3rd and 9+ yards: 9/15, 10.1 YPA, 1 TD, 0 INT, 116.3 rating.

Smith in the 4th quarter: 16/22, 7.86 YPA, 2 TDs, 0 INTs, 125.8 rating.

Meh. He needs to play really well every game, take deep shots down the field no matter what, and take over every game consistently. Only then, might I begin to accept him as a good quarterback. One slip up, and it's done. He is back to being a dumpster-fire if that ever happens.

The Trent Dilfer comments are stupid. Dilfer was only along for the ride. Eli made plays.

Eli is inconsistent and a gambler like Favre.

Did you watch the 49ers Giants game in 2011. I'm sure you did.

Here is bone-head throw #1 that should have gone for an easy interception if our guys don't blow each other up. I'm not complaining, just noting what a foolhardy throw and easy INT this is from Eli.

It happened again later with Goldson knocking the interception from teammate Carlos Rogers's hand. 2 easy picks batted away by teammates. Eli's inconsistency almost cost him the game, and it should have cost him the game.

Almost a fan of Alex Smith? Is that what you mean?

I don't know that I'd say almost, but his play in the second half on Sunday nudges it in that direction. Some positive recent signs definitely. Just need to see the guy we saw in the second half on Sunday make an appearance every week.

Bad? Not really. Not as efficient as in San Fran if asked to do more? Sure. Too risk-adverse? Definitely. There's a difference between thinking a guy is mediocre/not good enough to be the long-term answer and thinking a guy is Matt Cassel.

I've said repeatedly I hope Andy Reid is right about Alex Smith, and he can be better/more aggressive. So far, we've seen him do that in spurts (4th quarter Philly, to an extent, and really all of the second half against the Giants, to a greater extent).

So diving head first over and over to get first downs-oh and backwards too- count as risk adverse? :hmmm: Or does that just count because he doesn't throw into double coverage?

More wins too!!

After we kick the dogshit out of the Titans- there will be more on the Alex bandwagon.

Peyton has no ring if not for Indy's D carrying that team to a SB win.

Hmmm, I have to rethink this. I forgot that Peyton threw 7 picks and only 3 TDs in the 2006 playoffs/SB. You may have a gud point der kiddo :hmmm:.

I'm talking about his willingness to throw the football. His ability to gain yards with his legs is admirable, but also not something that can be counted on against good defenses.

I'm talking about throwing into tighter windows. Not double coverage necessarily, but making the throws good NFL qbs are willing to make. He made a lot more throws like that, into tighter - but 'open' in NFL terms - windows in the second half Sunday, and the offense moved the ball better than it had all season to that point.

Shocking that the offense is getting better as everyone spends more time in it/with each other.
