It was. Everyone bitching that Texas should've been a 1 seed and Kansas should've been a 2 and it turns out Texas might have an easier road. Arkansas was supposed to be one of the best teams in the country at the start of the season. They have amazing talent for an 8 seed.

Frank Mason was broken by Fred VanVleet years ago in the tournament. Fouled him out, and abused him emotionally. Ultimately crushing the entire KU team and making Bill Self fall into a years long
cheat spiral. Mason has never recovered and now plays for a team named the Nancy boys. Sad. Fred of course has an NBA title and will likely have a better NBA career than Paul Pierce.
