Say a guy guys 4 scoreless to start the game...and his team ends up winning 2-0 or something...(and they were winning when he was taken out)...is the scorekeeper mandated to give the W to the pitcher who pitched the 5th inning?

OK, its like this.
Starter leaves with 2 outs, reliever comes in, totally sucks ass gives up runs but gets the 3rd out. They take the lead. 2 or 3 relievers come in after that to finish without giving up the lead. Scorekeeper's call.
In this case it (would have been) Wright and only wright, the other pitchers are not eligible because we did not have the lead. You MUST have the lead that isnt later given up before being taken out to even be qualified for a win.
