RJ Bell (@RJinVegas) has provided odds of teams acquiring Peyton Manning for the upcoming season. Darnell Dockett’s Arizona Cardinals lead the list, which is understandable–they’ve expressed interest through the media, just had success with a veteran quarterback in Warner, have Larry Fitzgerald, and have an option bonus on Kevin Kolb coming up.

Here are the complete odds:

Arizona Cardinals- 19% (+250)
Miami Dolphins- 16.5% (+300)
Washington Redskins- 13% (+400)
New York Jets- 9.5% (+600)
Kansas City Chiefs- 7.5% (+800)
RETIRE- 6% (+1000)
Seattle Seahawks- 6% (+1000)
Houston Texans- 4% (+1500)
San Francisco 49ers- 3% (+2000)
Denver Broncos- 3% (+2000)
Tennessee Titans- 1.5% (+4000)
THE FIELD- 11% (+500)

Hey, we're ahead of "retire"!

I am 100% sure he does not come to KC. Multiple reasons.
- Shaky OL. Not even a deserted interstate can provide a better path to Manning than the great RT Barry Richardson.
- Charles returning from ACL tear, will not be as effective
- Baldwin is unproven, Moeaki is always injured (heard that he got injured while taking a shower because of the weight of the water falling on him from the sprinkler)
- KC receivers are used to having the luckiest and crappiest SoB Cassell throwing to them, they have to adjust to the finesse and precision offense (the ball will no longer arrive anywhere within a 6 feet radius)
- OC Daboll is a hothead (heard that he got into a fight with the person looking at him from the mirror because that person refused to go away)
- Pioli is a control freak (forehead would be wise not to litter the place with candy wrappers unless he wants to get cut)
- Arrowhead is freaking cold, far from ideal conditions for highly skilled passers
- This is Tebow's division (forehead would die in an inferiority complex while gasping at Tebow's QBing skills)
- KC has a chance of winning a playoff game, which means they won't sign him

Realistically, I think he goes to Arizona. If he could somehow survive the games against the 9ers, I think they are set. Seattle also has an average chance of landing him.

Actually, I don't agree with any of those reasons. I think he won't be a Chief because I don't think Pioli will go after him hard enough.

Miami, Wash and Arizona have way worse o-lines than us lol

If we were to break down a list, position by position, coach by coach, KC would be the best fit for Manning.

Problem is, I don't think Pioli wants Manning that bad. I think he's ok with rolling Matt Cassel out there.

Cark needs to override Pioli on this one.

I wish. Not gonna hold my breath.

Listening to Mitch Holthus i'm convinced we won't get Manning. His explanation was a bunch of bullshit.

You were convinced by a bullshit explanation?

When they talk about the other teams interest in Manning, it is almost always the owners name that comes up with why Manning will go there. We need to be the same. Clark needs to step up on this one.

Chiefs won't spend big money until the salary floor kicks in next year.

I still don't think this is all about the money. Granted it is going to take more than league minimum, but I don't think highest bidder necessarily wins this one.

Mitch is pretty much a shill for the Chiefs. He sometimes gives very good info but it's always aligned with the FO very closely.

Unfortunately, if Mitch doesn't think we'll get Manning, it's probably because the FO is giving him the indication that they're not going to pursue him.

Mitch is an extension of the Chiefs PR department. He made it sound like they were going to tip toe around the idea of getting Manning. This won't be good enough to land Manning.

Or smokescreen?
