**** off. We are talking about roster spots, not number one draft picks. If you're talking about bubble players, cutting elite special teams guys who can actually play depth roles on your team is just dumb. Sorry. The Wylie cut is fine if Chad hall is a legit depth receiver who can return punts well. I think the jalil brown cut is downright stupid. We are walking into the season with 3 corners and 6 safeties. But I guess this is where you swing in and tell me that super bowls are won by holding 6 safeties on your roster.

And no, I highly doubt this was toubs choice to cut three exceptional special teams aces in one offseason, especially after they crushed it in the preseason.

5 CBs counting the waiver claims, yo.

Cutting ST talent is always a risk, but it's not like Brown and Wylie were (presumably) studs under the old system.

"exceptional special teams aces"....ROFL

what a bunch of bullshit, totally made up bullshit

nothing they did helped us win, they're meat bags and can be replaced by other meat bags...Toub knows this

Fair point. I saw a report that didn't include the CB additions.

I'll wait to see how Cooper and Parker fare. Cooper is a bit intriguing, but I'm doubtful both will bring more value than Brown can bring as a special teams ace.

Was hoping Brown would manage to pull it together.. sucks.

Maybe this regime wants STers who can actually, you know, produce if called upon.

What the **** makes him a special teams ace?

I didn't defend Copper. I am defending special teams aces who can also contribute as quality depth on a roster. ROFL at people who treat bubble roster players cut 5 times from other teams as guys who are going to perform better.

Sorry, but the cuts of Javier Arenas and Jalil Brown feel more like purging Pioli players than it does moves to better the roster. Those moves are headscratchers for a team desperate for CB depth.

Watch a game or two before making a comment like that. Brown is terrific at special teams.
