Actually, it is one of my favorites. It's great for building endurance. However, pulling it SUCKS!
I love leg days (does that make me weird?). Barbell squats, leg press, goblet squats, step-ups, lunges (okay, so I don't love everything about them), occasional wall balls or what I call squat walking (putting a resistance band around my ankles and walking sideways while squatting. The prowler is usually the interval training I do on leg days.
Today's workout is 3 sets of 20: Barbell squats (at that many reps, I've lowered the weight to 75 lbs), leg press (again, with the reps, I do the first 2 sets at 180 and the last at 200), and then superseding step-ups (that's 20 per leg and with the step that causes me to lift my leg to just beyond parallel with the floor) with goblet squats (I hold a 35lb kettle bell). I am to do 8 rounds on the prowler (pushing it back and forth the length of the floor twice is one round) with 25's on each side and 40 sec rests. Rest 3 minutes and then knock out a 500m row.
