No, your post was bizarre and is further buttressed by this one too. He had just 3 turnovers in 40 minutes, including one with 10 seconds left when the game was already over and he was rushing to get a shot up which was his only one in the 2nd half?

LeBron was great in that game. Was easily their best offensive creator and gave a huge effort defensively in helping shut Jokic down late.

AD (who has clearly been the Lakers' best player this postseason, which is why they are even in this position) was terrible. That's your story coming out of that one.

Big question for Game 3 is will Lebron play? Ham says he is being evaluated

The guy has been playing on a foot that requires surgery for four months now. I'd imagine he'd have to be dead (or the near equivalent) not to play game 3.

My post was clear we are talking about late in the game. He had 2 turnovers late in Game 1 and again tonight. He also missed some normal easy shots including a layup. That is not typical of Lebron

It was the catalyst that lost them the game. Bricked a pair of three pointer back to back afterwards en route to the 17-5 run that effectively ended their chances.

LeBron was actually their best player late in the game today too. He blocked Jokic with a minute left in the game (the play where he sprained his ankle), creating an opportunity for the Lakers to get within one score (which they did). His two baskets and two assists before that in the previous few minutes were the only thing that got them in position to even do that much.

If anybody is criticizing LeBron after that one, they don't know ball.

Considering that's the case then, shouldn't he have had way more in the tank then than a guy who has played basketball deep into May/June for 20 years straight and not looked like a complete corpse of himself in Washington?

MJ came back to stat pad for a terrible Wizards team and he couldn't even do that efficiently. At the same age, LeBron is averaging a triple double on 50% shooting in the WCF as his team's best player.

DJ's left nut 05-18-2023 09:58 PM

Series is over. You absolutely cannot lose that game.

Davis, Russell, Schroeder and yes James, simply didn't play championship caliber ball in a game that they had on their racquet.

Just not a game a title team loses. Denver invited LA to win it and they just refused.

Nah, Denver lost two straight on the road to Phoenix last series after taking the first two and they've hardly looked unbeatable in either game in this series. It's not over.

Also, LA needs to stop starting (playing?) Russell at some point and it might as well be in game 3. His style is not conducive in any way to playoff basketball, but I suppose it's good they are figuring that out now before paying him a ridiculous amount of money to be an inefficient chucker who plays no denfense.

When Jordan went down, the Wizards were 27-27 and in the playoff chase, tied for seventh in the Eastern Conference with Allen Iverson’s Philadelphia 76ers and Baron Davis’ Charlotte Hornets. Washington was also just three games behind Paul Pierce, Antoine Walker and the Boston Celtics, who were sitting in fourth. Jordan had been averaging 24.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game on 41.9% shooting from the field and 78.8% from the free-throw line at the time of his injury, which forced an extended absence.

LMAO he wasn't winning any MVP with that line on a .500 team ranked 7th in the East

Everyone knows the LA Times is notoriously hard on LeBron. Or something.

KCC has zero basketball credibility. If the last 3 months haven't convinced y'all of it, nothing will. James can do no wrong and literally every single thing he sees NBA related is through that same lens of building up James.

His 3PT shot has been bad all season (32% which is the lowest it's been since 2015-2016) and in particular since he came back from injury. He made some big ones against the Warriors (which gives me hope he can do the same here again), but it's pretty broken right now overall.

Just once it would be nice if LeBron got carried like this.

31-21-14 and 23-17-12 stat lines and he's getting carried? You are insane.

TambaBerry 05-19-2023 07:03 AM

If you aren't flopping, you aren't trying hard enough.

In the 4th quarter, yes. He has 3 points in the 4th quarter through 2 games.

Different!

LeBron James is shooting 0% from 3 in the WCF

LeBron James has missed 19 straight 3-pointers in the 4th quarter dating back to Game 2 of the 1st Round this year.

That's the longest streak by any player in the last 25 postseasons.

LeBron in his prime (which MJ was there) would never have done it.

I dont know because I haven't watched but a couple minutes of each game, but I was told that was because the Lakers changed their defense to take away jokic. Which would suggest that they are defending hard against him. That would mean his gravity is opening the offense up for others. Or at least that is what you would say if it was lebron and the Lakers. I mean walker beat the Warriors in the 4th in game 4 but you wanted to spend more time touting the greatness of lebron for making free throws.

Also by this logic, AD is carrying lebron to every win they've had since he has to be the best player on the court for the Lakers to win (again, your words).

If prime LeBron was scoring only 3 points combined in 2 fourth quarters of a conference finals (regardless of what the defenses were), his teams were not winning those games. Not even the Miami Heat.
