Obviously Davis was unavailable for some reason, or he would've gone before Hoch. Holland warmed up in case the Royals took a lead in the 9th.

So if Davis was out, we're assuming Young is out because he started two days ago, and Medlen might be out because he pitched yesterday... Ned might have been down to Holland and Guthrie. I guess we're about to find out.

If Davis was out, then Ned actually did an okay job stretching it out tonight. Only thing you could argue is that Hoch pitches instead of Madson, but he got blown up last time out and everybody flipped when he came in to begin with.
