All trolling of Blues fans aside, this is going to be a great series and could definitely go 7. If by some miracle (trolling again) the Blues beat the Avs, I'll be a Blues fan for the rest of the playoffs - once I get over the heartbreak. Love O'Reilly's game and I really like Saad and what he brought to the Avs last year. But if the Avs lose in the second round again I might swear off hockey for ....no I won't, who am I kidding?
Kadri is one of those Danny Ainge-type guys that you absolutely despise until he's on your team, then you love him. He's one of my favorite players, tbh, and hopefully we can find a way to keep him.

It's funny to me how my own perceptions of O'Reilly and Duchene have morphed over the years. When O'Reilly forced his way out of Denver, it seemed like he was full of himself and just mad that the C went to Landy instead of him. But over time, it's become pretty clear that he was absolutely able to back up the talk and the contract he got, so it's hard to hate the guy for believing in himself and proving that he was right.
Meanwhile, Duchene was the one of our favorites for years (I even had a jersey of his for a while, albeit a cheap knockoff). He forced himself off the team in hopes of playing in the playoffs, and the teams he's been on have underachieved ever since. Couple that with badmouthing the team a bit, and he's now largely thought of as a diva who was full of himself but COULDN'T back it up. I don't boo the guy like many do, but it's clear that he was as much of the problem as he was the solution. In the end, getting Girard and Byram out of that trade (plus a few others) has been huge for building to where we are today.
So in short, it's hard to dislike O'Reilly. Duchene's a dumb dumb.
