Yep. It made me think how badly we're going to be hated now.

I expect a lot of dirty hits next season.

Who launches into...a seriously drunk version of Friends in low places...it was cringey to say the least. But, nobody's gonna stop him so...

I smiled, but it was pretty bad.

Maybe I'm over worrying but that was terrible. That stupid bastard could barely stand up. I didn't see the Chris Jones part. I hope this doesn't have ramifications down the road...that was embarrassing and I don't think too many people are going to think it was cute. I hope it doesn't leak into the business side of things for him. Also not sure Swift's PR people are too thrilled about the optics of this either.

I'm just gonna be an old fuddy duddy and say I think all the alcohol to the point of falling down drunk is a bad look for the org. Couldn't you just wait until after you've been on the stage where you're expected to speak if this is your thing? Is this common in these things across teams and sports? Whatever.

By the time they took the stage I figure he'd been hammered drunk for two and a half days with little to no sleep. I'm sure they all hoped he'd just pass out, but he didn't, and he's Travis Kelce, so you've gotta let him talk. Everybody around him had the same "oh ****, here it comes" look on their faces.

I love the guy. We all do. He's done so much for the team and he's utterly and completely great. But goddamn, dude, dial it down a little.

Agree...but I'm worried he's going to lose endorsements over this...and then want more money from the Chiefs...snowball effect. I know I'm stretching it a bit but...?

Same but that was so embarrassing for him. They were trying to save him by not letting him talk but then Jones, who’s hammered himself, grabs the mic and gives it to him.

They are having to hold the players to keep them from Falling off the stage.

What’s the point of this public drunkness? Why can’t they go get lit in private after the parade? Being so hammered by noon in front of a million people and millions more on TV and you can’t even stand up ain’t a good look

Reminds me of a line from an old movie. "Grow up, Arthur. You'd make a fine adult."

Just watched my recording of the parade. What an awesome event. Players off busses, talking after the game... All the talk of the awesome venue, all the people, the experience. All on valentines day.

Then that bullshit happened. :shake:

Travis was sober enough to do his podcast. He got hammered at the parade. Maybe because alcoholism is in my family I wasn’t bothered by it, but I could see why some people could be taken back.

Especially after all the bad publicity this week, I'm surprised he didn't get some PR advice. Nick Wright made the scary point I hadn't thought about, that we can all be incredibly grateful Andy stayed upright. He said if he didn't the Chiefs lose the SB and Kelce's public image is irreparably damaged. Second part for sure. Dodged that bullet. I'm sure he'll come back focused and wiser for it all this summer.

All the talk about Mahomes and Brady and rightfully so but the record by a single team is still 6. Only the Patriots, Steelers, Niners and Cowboys ahead of the Chiefs now. Hard to believe.

Rainbarrel 02-15-2024 07:33 AM

Let Brady have the GOAT label. Mahomes will make his own and more history friendly one
