rams clinch if the skins win

NGL tonights matchup feels interesting, its not very often these two teams meet... and even less frequent when they both meet with up and coming young hotshot QBs

Then they pivot to the next WR, Sherfield or whoever. The thing you keep missing is that Purdy can't throw down the field anywhere close to what Darnold can, so while Purdy's efficiency tanks when he loses CMC (and to a much lesser extent, Aiyuk), Darnold has the arm to just keep firing. |
Great anthem.

Both were elevated by the huge weapons around them |
I'm no Purdy fan but Darnold is on his 4th team for a reason. He backed up Purdy last year and they never once considered putting him ahead of Purdy. Heck the only reason he is in Minnestoa is because their 1st round pick got hurt and they needed a warm body to throw to the best WR in the game.

Fun trivia: Matthew McConaughey happens to be a Washington Redskins fan. For a born and bred texan, this was rather surprising. Just goes to show you how special and unique the NFL is when it comes to team fandom.

No, because Darnold is significantly more accurate downfield than Purdy. That's what you're missing. Purdy's efficiency was completely supported by the fact that CMC is Marshall Fualk. A RB that can run the entire route tree, run option routes, hots, etc. And since he mostly lines up in the backfield or the slot, he's not coverable by any LB/S. So he's open immediately every single time, within 10 yds of the LoS. Without CMC, Purdy had to try and force passes beyond the sticks, and every defense sat on the sticks this season when they figured out Purdy couldn't throw deeper with any consistency. Purdy is just a more durable version of Tua. Darnold can throw accurately and with velocity much farther than Prudy, so he'd still be effective without JJ, just not quite as efficiently. But the plays would still be there, and Darnold could still make the throws. |
Let’s see how he does without two defensive TDs. Not good so far.
