Right, I see the compendiums on Amazon that cover issues 1-48, which looks cool, but I also see what they call "Book 1" that is hardback and covers issues 1-12. So I'm torn on whether to get the paperback compendium or the hardcover books. I guess whichever has the coolest looking art is the one I want.

I'm also a big fan of the covers of each issue. Does the compendium have the full color covers for each issue?

Well I just went to Barnes & Noble to check out some of their graphic novels. Particularly The Walking Dead. There's some old dyke bitch there blocking the whole section while reading shit. Pissed me off. I was clearly trying to get in there to look at stuff and she's just reading away, blocking the whole damn section. God I hate dumb snobby bitches like that. I just wanted to decapitate her with a shovel.

I'm not knocking the guy that got the gig.....but the other guy is Adabeesee (spelled phonetically) from the HBO show OZ. he pops up in a lot of stuff and makes a really good bad guy. he's a very good actor imo. but his bad guy persona....would that have fit Tyreese? or is Tyreese like....a good guy?

I haven't read the whole story yet, but where I am at Tyreese is Rick's right hand man. That spot is currently filled by Daryl. Crap I hope nothing happens to Daryl...

I really don't think so, but I could be wrong. At this point in the series, killing Daryl would be worse than killing Rick as far as the audience is concerned.

He also played Mr Echo on Lost.

I think Chad Coleman will make a good Tyreese, he was excellent on The Wire as Cutty.

Or even have Daryl side with Meryle, have him be the bad guy for a few episodes then kill him off. It's possible

I think that might've worked if Carol hadn't come back. I don't see him going dark side now, even if he might side with his brother.

Oh damn I LOVE 16. I saw 19 earlier tonight and like it as well. They're all pretty damn cool really.

As you can see, the 2 Batman plaques have backplates and The Walking Dead one I thought "Hey...this looks better with just the frontplate straight on the plaque alone".

Oh man I just remembered there was a special issue (#75) that had a full color non-canonical story line at the end of the comic that has amazing art. I would do some of that. Let me see if I can find it online, if not I'll post pics from my phone.

Damn. You got my hopes all up lol. I just realized...there's no way I'll be able to fit every cover on my walls. Not enough space. I'll have to just pick and choose which covers are the coolest. Plus I wanna make some plaques of other stuff that I like. Maybe a couple Iron Maidens, Metallicas, some other stuff.

Oh yeah I guess I should actually buy and READ these comics at some point too! I was at Barnes & Noble and I really like the compendiums but at the same time I really like the actual individual issues too. Of course it's much much cheaper to get the compendium if I just want to read the whole series up to date, but I really really love the covers for each issue.

I gotta be honest though. I wish the whole series was in color. Not that I dislike the black and white at all, but I just love vivid, colorful art.

I don't have that compendium, but I have a compendium from another one of Kirkman's comics and its great. So many extras..

I have both compendiums. I read the whole first one in a day. You don't get cover art from each issue with the compendiums but if your just wanting to read them for the series it's the best way to go about it.

Both of you need to check your rep, (just in case you were wondering wtf was going on).

Fantastic episode. It's really cool to see them starting to really develop the human vs. human element of the show. I mean, much of that could have been a basic "shoot-em-up" rescue mission from a military movie.

The Michonne/Governor fight was fantastic as was Michonne "rescuing" Penny. Awesome.

Comics:

as much as i hate to admit it, i don't know what actually happens in issue 100. (the collected graphic novels don't actually show with issues that they are, or so i think).

but, i'm pretty sure (okay, duh) i know what you speak of.

and OZ, you ain't seen nuthin' yet (it gets sooooooooo good, and soooooooo bad) :)

Great, fun episode.....I just don't think realistically, Andrea would turn against Michone like that after all that she has seen now. But hey, I understand that was done to create drama and tension.

She fell for the "real" feel of Woodbury, and she's banging the Governor, so I thought her reaction was probably spot on. If she had really "turned" on Michonne, she would have shot her, imo.

And at the end of the ep when they had Merle and Daryl out in front of the crowd, she had a complete "what the **** is going on, and what the **** am I doing here" look on her face.

Fantastic episode. Maybe one of the best of the the entire series so far.

They have REALLY upped the ante with this season. So much action and tension. Great, great show.

Oh....and once again the nearly fatal flaw of this season was Michone again. Why did she go back to kill the Govenor? The show fails over and over again to define her characters actions. It was a cool fight, but why would she go back for him?

I thought it was pretty dumb that Maggie didn't kill Merle when she had the chance, especially right after she killed another dude. Seemed kinda dumb to me.

Whoever had their dick in Andrea last is where her loyalty lies.

Oh, dear God, this. I was practically shouting at my TV.

"Shoot him. Shoot him dead. Right now, you've got him, just shoot him. SHOOOOOOT HIIIIIIIM."

Yeah that was dumb. It clearly only happened that way because "it isn't time for Merle to die yet".

I watched the episode tonight after not watching any of season 3.

I. Am. An. Idiot.

Wouldn't be surprised if they're keeping Merle around to turn him from villain to antihero eventually (or at least something in between that that pops up from time to time). Of course, maybe he gets offed right when we return in February, but I think they'll explore that Darryl-Merle relationship.

And yeah, that might have been the best episode so far in the series. Very tense throughout, particularly the fight between Michonne and the Governor. Darryl and Merle are in a bit of a situation (though a word of advice to the producers...that cliffhanger might have worked a bit better without the preview right after it).

Tyreese also looks like he'll be a good character. They even got Cutty from The Wire to play him.

I don't think anyone mentioned that Shane made his "return" tonight. It was kind of a bad time for Rick to be hallucinating him. Is that going to be a recurring thing now? Him dwelling on Shane?
