Kyle doesn't look like he has the car tonight to come back

Dylan 09-03-2011 07:58 PM

Sorenson was pissed... His crew chief said teammate, Allgaier, got him from behind & cause the wreck.

I like this kid Stenhouse... He's proven to be a racer.

He'll probably get a Cup ride next season -- Roush would probably let him out of his contract if he can't give him a f/t ride.

Giant have any shocking releases today?

No.

Of the 7 players from the Giants' 2010 draft - they released three today.

P Matt Dodge released - good riddance. The Giants signed Steve Weatherford from the Jets a few months ago. Jets didn't want to pay his salary -- $2.5 MM.

Mark Herzlich made the team (cancer survivor) He's a beast... I'm so happy he made the team...

Tom Couglin: “Herzlich didn’t bat an eye the whole camp. Physically, he did everything you asked and more. I saw him improve literally week by week. He can play multiple positions. He’s very smart. He does an outstanding job on special teams. He’s told one time and he goes and does it. He deserves it.”

I'm exciting with our new rookie RB -- Da'Rel Scott this preseason: 9 carries, 186 yards ... 20.7 yards per carry. ... He is so fast. ... Been a while since the Giants had that kind of explosion from a back...

Also excited with our rookie LB's -- I believe the future for the Giants at LB is Greg Jones, J. Williams and Mark Herzlich.

#58 Herzlich, Mark LB 6-4 246 24 R Boston College Rookie

49 Paysinger, Spencer LB 6-2 236 23 Rookie Oregon
53 Jones, Greg LB 6-0 248 22 R Michigan State
#57 Williams, Jacquian LB 6-3 224 23 R South Florida

Really like this guy: 39 Sash, Tyler Safety 6-0 215 23 Rookie Iowa

Dylan 09-03-2011 08:36 PM

Hope the Giants pick up Eagles CB Joselio Hanson & TE Donald Lee

Sorry to hear about Moeaki. Big loss -- dependable guy in the Chiefs scheme

I fear the Chiefs may have several issues this year. Tight End wasn't one of them until today

You're not alone in the fear dept. As you know, my fear is ELI, the receivers and offensive line.

The Giants need to be a productive running team again and keep the ball out of Eli's hands as much as possible. So often, we should be running, instead of giving the ball to Eli. I'm starting to believe that Eli is our biggest problem.

The race is having weather-related issues. ... sigh

CaliforniaChief 09-04-2011 07:42 PM

Are they seriously going to still try and run this race? It's 9:45 Eastern and a 500 mile race...the weather must not be favorable for the next few days.

I hope they do, I'd love to see it.

Bugeater 09-04-2011 07:46 PM

**** that, I'm ready to go to bed.

stonedstooge 09-04-2011 07:46 PM

Race is cancelled until Tuesday morning

CaliforniaChief 09-04-2011 07:46 PM

Nope, no race today. Or tomorrow. Race scheduled for 11:00 Eastern Tuesday morning.

Bugeater 09-04-2011 07:48 PM

Oh hell, they postponed it until Tuesday over public safety concerns? What the hell?

Bugeater 09-04-2011 07:48 PM

I only caught the tail end of that, what are the public safety concerns?

Apparently they're supposed to get 4-5 inches of rain. I don't know, I guess they're afraid of fans getting wet.

Probably more afraid of fans wetting their whistles too much. Too many hours of drinking

Well I suppose it would be pointless to have fans show up for another rain-out.

Honestly they might have trouble getting it in on Tuesday. They're supposed to get deluged tonight, Monday, Monday night, and not tapering off until Tuesday night. Just one of those storms, I guess.

I'm bummed...was looking forward to watching a full race live since it was a Sunday night race, no church responsibilities. Oh well.

I know... If you can't race 'em, wreck 'em. What's so sad about it, the drivers were racing for sponsors next season. Mr. Dumbass.

When the Chase begins, payback from other drivers for past run-ins on the race get even.

Love NASCAR for their patriotism

stonedstooge 09-10-2011 05:41 PM

Edwards would have won last night if his pit crew didn't take 5 seconds a stop more than the other teams every time he stops

He had a rocket last night... I believe the pit stop didn't cost him the race -- in the end Kyle passed him ... He might have lost it on the restart -- can't remember --
