I love it though. The haters were hoping he would get benched after his struggles but he flipped them the bird and got better the last quarter of the season? I now have the entire off season to shove it up their asses. Thank you Geno :D

You seem to have numerous homosexual fantasies.....just sayin..

And the
never niner and just Alex Smith fans that infested the board?

Smart move to not tip your hand before the draft.

I'd assume the Chiefs are also keeping options open for next year.

So you think that the Chiefs haven't committed to Alex Smith being the QB next year?

It's just 40# of baby fat Ginny hasn't lost yet. So she slid back & had two Hardee's thick burgers last night. This morning she had sugarless oatmeal.

They likely have, but beyond that I have my doubts.

Just because Smith is the ordained starter for next year does not mean the Chiefs are not keeping option opens at QB in general.

While they both spoke positively of Smith, Idzik and Ryan stopped short of saying he will go into training camp as the starter.

At one point in the 35-minute news conference, Idzik referred to Smith as "a quarterback on our roster." This came one day after Smith received strong support from teammates.

"We're all excited about having Geno as part of the New York Jets," Idzik said, "but we will always look to improve any position."
What a ringing endorsement.

If he takes a big wet sh*t in the playoffs I don't see why the Chiefs should commit. He hasn't exactly 'lit' it up, especially against good teams. Raids game doesn't really count.

Smith will get extended for another couple of years, and it's probably a smart move. He's been extremely efficient this year with nothing in the way of weapons.

If they put weapons around him and he regresses next year, then you can bring in competition.

AS has a chance to really cement a legacy with this franchise if he can play a good game this Saturday and get us a much needed playoff victory. However, if he skunks it up like he did against the Colts and we lose in a manner similar to the shitfest last time we played the Colts, I can only imagine how that shit will taste in Andy Reid's mouth going into the off-season. The excuses must stop for AS, he must play in a superior manner or he needs to go.

That game we played against the Colts at Arrowhead was strange. The team (outside of Jamaal) looked completely not interested to be there that day. That was the only game I can remember them looking so lethargic all season.

Hopefully Andy reminds them of that and properly motivates them for Saturday.

Agreed, but again this is kind of an excuse which is what I'm talking about. It needs to stop. This is AS's team, he needs to lead us to victory or GTFO.

Absolutely. I think he has it in him to outduel Luck, provided his weapons remember to catch the ball.

You KNOW the Colts are going to have 8-9 in the box to stop Jamaal initially. Alex has to exploit that early and often.

Unless they extend him this offseason, no I don't. I don't think a mediocre QB with 1 year left on his deal is assured the starting job.

BossChief 01-01-2014 02:48 PM

There is NO QUESTION that Alex is gonna be the day one starter next year. Regardless of what happens in 3 days.
