I do love it when the Royals take home gold and MAT was exceptional at center.

But a GG for Beni? That surprises me a bit. Any chance they’re just so accustomed to circling “Royals LF” for that award?

MAT deserves the gold. Beni? Sure. I guess. But so does Lopez. At least Whit and Perez were nominated.

The post after yours explains it. It’s dedicated only to LF, so he has 14 to beat out. And only he and Lourdes Gurriel even qualified for the batting title, so it was kinda a 2 horse race. Not a lot of regulars in LF this year

Looks like they're bringing up one of the coaches responsible for the minor league hitting revamp.

I know Melendez seems ready, but Salvys wants to catch until he cant

Also saw this today, first time I've seen one of the national writers mention Bobby Witt at 3B full time.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Royals?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Royals</a> prospect Bobby Witt Jr. will be given every opportunity to win the starting job at 3B during spring training. Witt is in good position to make the Opening Day roster at age 21. <a href="https://twitter.com/MLBPipeline?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@MLBPipeline</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/MLBNetwork?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@MLBNetwork</a></p>&mdash; Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) <a href="https://twitter.com/jonmorosi/status/1458429299178967048?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 10, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I hope not. I want extra year of service time. Its fine to squander service time on lesser prospects but not THEE guys.

0% chance that type of service manipulation will exist in the new CBA.

Fortunate, then, that both are good enough offensive players to get ABs at DH and Melendez is a good enough athlete to play some other positions.

Salvy needs more time at DH and 1st it makes sense to have another catcher that is more than just a backup.

Also there's alot of internal stuff thar Mondesi is going to end up in the OF even though they aren't publicly saying it.
