That's hilarious. Sanchez is already a much better quarterback than Eli was at the end of his second season.

HAHAHAHAHA! Comedy gold!

Was it his 50% competion rating for less than 2 bills last night or his shitting the bed last week against the Saints that make you say that?

Sanchez has looked average, even for a rookie, at best this season.

Let's look at Eli Manning's rookie year:

1-6 W-L record for a 9-7 team.
48% Completions
5.3 YPA
6 TDs
9 INTs
QB Rating 55.4

Sanchez's first five games:

3-2 WL Record
56% Compeltion %
6.8 YPA
5 TD
5 INT
QB Rating: 74.1

Funny thing is, if not for an incorrectly ruled challenge last night and Edwards dropping a ball that hit him right in the hands, he throws for 230 and 3 TDs.

But they don't call you Thereerunian for nothing.

Sanchez has played very well for a rook.

it was the right call, his knee was down before the ball crossed the plain.

Sanchez has been living off of his defense all year. In the instances where he has had to score enough points to win, which has been twice, he has failed. He's been nothing more than a care taker.

And IF we are playing the IF game, IF not for the fact that most DB's have hands made of stone Sanchez would probably be leading the NFL in interceptions right now. And he's already leading it in fumbles I believe.

Yeah, and it's almost as though he didn't take the offense down the field two straight times when they needed a TD and got it for them.

Say what you want about the PI call, but if Braylon catches a ball that hit him in the hands, they still score. Sanchez did his job last night. The run defense didn't.

Completing 50% of your passes for around 170 yards isn't quite doing your job in a high scoring game. Yeah the defense got it's balls trucked over, but that's the point. When the defense hasn't been able to hold a team down, which has been the last two weeks, Sanchez hasn't been good enough to get the win. He didn't look as bad last night as he did against New Orleans where he was the lone goat on that whole team, but he's hardly lighting it up. And Braylon Edwards dropping a pass isn't exactly out of character either. That's been his deal since he was drafted.

I will just about put every dollar I make ever on the bet that he isn't a SB QB in the same amount of years Eli did it in.

Brock 10-13-2009 09:06 AM

He almost looks like.......a rookie QB.

BigCatDaddy 10-13-2009 12:08 PM

I LOL'd at his attempt at the Hail Mary. It reminded me of a 6 year old outfielder trying to get a ball to home plate and getting it barely to the dirt on the infield after throwing it sky high.

Sanchez looks like a good leader and decsion maker. However I really think Henne looked like the better QB last night.

Chiefnj2 10-13-2009 12:10 PM

Cassel would have completed that Hail Mary.

Let me get this straight. Against Oakland Cassel leads them on a go ahead drive with a couple of minutes to and the defense blew it at the end so Cassel sucked. But Sanchez leads the Jets to the go ahead point and the Jets defense blows it at the end and Sanchez did his job.
Gotcha!
