I updated the rules in the OP. Yes, we generally suspend the clock on the weekends because it's hard as **** to get people on here then. And I'm back now....so I'll keep the OP updated.

But with their interior line aging and getting more expensive/less productive, the Broncos see a bit of a find here in a guy who doesn't appear to have gotten a ton of traction in many corners but still has athleticism and upside you don't often see in the middle.

The Donks select, Jaleel Johnson, NT - Iowa

There are better picks to be made here but they just aren't the right fit for the Broncos right now.

Wow. That's a steal of pick at this point.

Just a little more balls or bust than I want to see in the 2nd, but that's pretty much the nature of 2nd round picks - 1st round talents that have question marks.

If the other guy I really like I still there with my comp, I'm taking him, need be damned.

Eh, he won't be.

Jaleel Johnson will go in ght e 2nd round if I had to guess. Top of the 3rd at the latest.

Yeah, I think so too, if for no other reason than versatility.

He's big enough that you could try him at 0/1 and if he can't quite hold, he has just enough length to be a 5-tech and the explosion/athleticism to do it pretty well.

In a 4-3, he'd be a dynamite 3-tech, IMO. Though depending on your existing personnel, you could make him a 1 (you just waste him a bit there, IMO). So when you have a guy that can play multiple spots on the line in virtually any front, you're going to have a lot of teams that have him on their boards. Especially given the rise in sub-packages. Even 3-4 teams need a strong 4-down alignment. Hell, the Chiefs would be wise to look at him in the back of the 2nd, IMO. If Logan costs $8 million on a 'make good' deal, they'd better have a plan in place for the middle long-term.

Has some Chris Jones to him, IMO. Not as consistently powerful and not as long, but possibly more explosive. I think he goes in the top 60, but I've been way off on some of these picks in the past.

I think he has a team like Atlanta written all over him. Pioli loves those Iowa boys!

chiefscafan 03-27-2017 11:19 AM

wow if the draft falls this way and Dorsey keeps the picks he could do some major damage in this draft.

This draft seems the most wide open I've ever seen. It could go anyway nothing seems set in stone except maybe the first twelve picks.

Thanks Clevesteve for helping me keep this going work was long last night.

chiefscafan 03-27-2017 12:13 PM

Wow better change Oakland to Vegas damn who would've thought it!
