RTs are getting paid damn well now. I think he probably left another 1/3 on the table starting two years from now. Pretty amazing they got that extra year that easily.

Maybe.

He seems to really love it in KC and is pretty smart so maybe he's not all about the cash? I dunno.

Yea with the pass rush not really being so blind side heavy anymore RT is looked at as important as LT.

Think he got banned for saying he was gonna fight Tyreek in St Joe and dropping the n word.

In regards to corner, looks like the 2020 draft has a lot of good ones.

Is there such thing as a great LB (off the ball) class anymore?

I wouldn’t mind a corner early and in the mid rounds. I’d also draft a wide receiver again. Need to keep Mahomes’s weapons young and cheap.

There were a lot of corners in this draft too until 7 of them got taken before we picked.

I wanted Bunting.

Guessing this issue is why the Chiefs and Jones are having a problem.

Andy doesn't sound overly excited about missed TC.

I think the LB position is going through a rough transition in the modern NFL. Speed is the name of the game. They want you to be as good in coverage as a safety yet still maintain enough size to be an elite tackler that can hold up in a variety of formations throughout the entire game.

I think that's why undersized LBs are becoming more in vogue now. Teams are having trouble finding players that can do it all, so they rotate LBs between big and small guys.

And when the draft rolls around, unless you're uber elite, teams will probably place you in one category or the other. There's not the "well, this player is weaker in this element to their game, but it can be reasonably coached and/or they'll still be a good player" that you get with other positions

His run defense looks good. Made a key stop here on 3rd and 2

Clark gets cut down hard, returns to his feet, and gets a running-bonk into the scrum sending it back 4 yards.

Nice play.

It's all about consistency for Jones as for his run defense. He has always had good plays but overall he is not a strong run defender.
