Lakers might get swept.

KC_Connection 05-20-2023 07:02 PM

At least the Lakers will realize that Russell is terrible after this postseason and they can use all that money on someone who can contribute.

Lakers looking like they're going to let it get to the wire.

Nuggets vs Heat in the Finals.

KC_Connection 05-20-2023 07:43 PM

3 point deficit at half despite Murray looking like a clutch version of Steph. Lakers can't start Russell in the 2nd half though if they want any chance of winning this. He is absolutely atrocious. Start Rui or Schroder.

KC_Connection 05-20-2023 07:59 PM

LMAO it's the same lineup

KC_Connection 05-20-2023 08:00 PM

Russell turns it over immediately and misses two shots. Your season is on the line and you're sticking with this guy.

Pepe Silvia 05-20-2023 08:03 PM

KC_Connection 05-20-2023 08:21 PM

I can only assume the Lakers don't give a **** about winning if they keep playing this guy. Not a serious team.

He's got 16-9-5 at the end of 3. I wouldn't be too worried about his stats, they'll be there at the end.

Assuming Russell has played his last minute in this game, the Lakers have a real shot here.

Watch Ham change the lineup after the Lakers are down 0-3 and the series is already over. They have only six guys that are even playable in this series and only three of them are in the starting lineup.

Only way it even gets to 5 is if Ham changes the lineup for game 4 (which I doubt he does).

No idea how Russell played 20 minutes in a must-win game as bad as he's looked this postseason (and in this series especially).

LeBron can play for another decade if he chooses and jump on board a contender if he wants to win more titles. His GOAT status has to do with much more than that.

Nope, just getting caught up now. After I put the kids to bed, I check the score for the first time. Then I eat. Then I turn the game on if it's still on. Then when the Lakers are losing, at the next commercial, I make a post wondering which non lebron laker you are blaming.

Ham (for treating a must-win game like a regular season game with no urgency for reasons that are unclear) and Russell (for being an absolutely atrocious basketball player who can't shoot, maintain the ball or defend).

Russell may be an upgrade on what Westbrook is these days, but he's still effectively unplayable against an actual contender in the playoffs. They've gotta get rid of him and go for Kyrie this summer.

Embiid also doesn’t show up in the playoffs when he is actually healthy but that is routinely ignored for whatever reason. Marc Gasol completely made him his bitch in 2019 to the point that he was terrified of even shooting.

Jokic is the best player in the league by leaps and bounds due to how historically good offensively he is. Perhaps he will actually get some recognition for it after the Nuggets win the title this year (which appears inevitable now that Boston is choking out).

Don’t write off Tatum completely yet. I also don’t want to jinx it and find that pathetic Celtics team back in the Finals again.

Lebron got to further pad his career stats and didn’t get hurt. It’s a win win.

Correct. He secured GOAT status after leading his team back from 3-1 to a 73 win Warriors team almost seven years ago now. It’s all been gravy since then.

And considering he’s still able to average a triple double in the WCFs in year 20 at age 39 on a messed up foot, I’d say it’s a fair bet he’s got plenty of years left to go (might even be able to get to 2030 if he wants?) Time to break all the individual records before his time is up.

Boston is a significantly more talented team than Miami. Now they don’t have their heart but there is a chance that talent all shows up at some point. They’ve got a chance unfortunately.

KC_Connection 05-20-2023 09:54 PM

I’m also not sure Miami is actually a better team with Tyler Herro playing 30+ minutes a game. He helps them score and takes the load off Jimmy but does nothing defensively for you (unlike Lowry or Vincent). What happens when he comes back to that team?
