I'd like him back. He made a ****ton of big plays for us, and I really do enjoy watching him play.

Will chiefqueen wait until next spring to make another retirement prediction, or will she call for Self to step down before then?

You forgot a third (and most likely) scenario where she has an unfortunate interaction with Ubeja’s horny coyote.

That’s my guess.

Interesting comments from Self today, he sounds like he was thoroughly bored sitting around not doing anything.

And said he's "got to live in the portal", so we'll probably see quite a few non-freshmen new faces next year.

After listening to the presser, this whole ordeal is starting to come out as a positive with the program as it pertains to Self's coaching and recruiting.

As others have mentioned, his time away seems like it was a real eye-opener for him and after a sample of retirement, there is no question that he is nowhere near retiring.

I figure him sitting around watching these mid-majors make these deep tournament runs after his team got bounced by a shirtless inbred, only served to motivate him more. Add to that, the other Kansas school made a nice run to the point they were 'the' Kansas school being talked about and hyped up, rather than his team.

This only stoked the fire the within him. Perhaps to the point he fears retirement. Whatever it did, the man in that presser sounded like a spry veteran coach ready to take this program to another level. Whatever that level is, I am not sure....but others should fear.
