I mean if they get blown out, sure, bitch about Self and Co not being ready. But this was a game down until the end. If they play more time or less time either team could have won. As it should have been with two exactly evenly matched teams.

The best team ever assembled in College Basketball history lost in the final four last year.

Yeah, they should fire Coach Cal - Dane

I'm not sure what you're suggesting here. You lay the blame at Self's feet, so does that mean KU should move on from him? Whom should they hire? Remember, they have to find somebody who will be better than Bill Self, a man who is 1-1 in the two championship games he's been to with KU since 2008.

That doesn't seem very logical on KU's part to move on to a different coach.

Not to mention do better than 12(+?) consecutive conference titles.

I realize that but KU's departure each year after "winning" the Big "12" is almost like clockwork.

You can argue all you want but his record in the NCAA's leaves much to be desired.

John Wooden his is not.

And he's a bunch of bullshit from moving onto the final four in 2007, 2011, and 2013, where anything can happen. And I'm not not even counting the year they had a garbage loss to Northern Iowa, which is a far more noble upset than the ones that have happened to bluebloods Duke and Michigan State.

Are you going to claim that Ned Yost is a Carlos Correa mishandled ground ball away from getting lucky one year and then choking the next? And before you get on my dick, I'm a Royals fan, and the point I'm making is that what you're saying about Self's luck in the 2008 tournament also applies to the Royals in 2015. That's how ridiculous it is.

I'm optimistic. Lucas completely changed this team over the last two months with his defense, while our two starting senior/junior guards are tremendous assets to have. Teach Bragg how to rebound and defend by November and we'll be great again.

That's like mentioning Chuck Knox and all of his Division Titles in the NFL.

What, exactly, did he win?

Mr_Tomahawk 03-26-2016 09:32 PM

Self said with new rules on NBA draft and testing waters he hinted not everyone will be back #kubball

Fansy the Famous Bard 03-26-2016 09:33 PM

Jesus, i see Dane is doing his best Dane Cook impersonation in this thread. Shitting all over everything and laughing at his own jokes that aren't funny. Much like Cook, he is horrible at what he does, yet still manages to hang around and get people to watch him.

I disagree.

As Self proved, it's the school, not the coach. He had some really bad losses until striking gold in 2008.

I think they could easily move on and not miss a beat, if not improve.

How many KU games would you say you've watched this year? Just curious. Or college basketball games in general?

More conference games than any other team in the conference. No small feat.

More than the amount of NFL games you've watched in the past ten years

And yet, only Lon Kruger remains.

I'll never understand why K State ever allowed him to leave.

So I'm just going to guess like ten games tops this year. Cool.
