Yep, it's a HIGHLY under rated IMO and it just doesn't stop at the top. It's all the assistants on the staff as well. The best Chief teams had a crazy amount of coaching talent under Marty. In pretty much all sports these days I think you can get the most bang for your buck in getting good coaches, but they are most important in football.

can Alex do that? I think he did in 2011 on the 49ers only to end on a muff punt. Could very well happen to us, some turd like McCluster muffs a crucial punt in the playoffs and thats the season

I think he can get hot, especially when we get a TE involved in the game.

gosampel 10-14-2013 07:27 AM

I think if you give him some better weapons he wouldn't sux, but if we have corners that can score at least once a game he could sux all he wants and throw in a couple of safeties

He was horrible on timing plays. Needs to be much, much better. That's where the meat of our yardage should come from. Its what is going to move the chains. Can't depend on screens and scrambles the whole game.

That would help, but let's not pretend like we are waiting for Gronk to come back either.

Yep, 6-0. On his worst day as a Chief he is still light years better than anything we have had since Trent Green.

Schaub is 11-1, dammit! /2012 Texans version of pete

Where?

I never said any of that.

The bubble will definitely burst in the playoffs though. I won't be surprised if the Broncos sweep us, either, and some homer says "who cares, we're 10-2!"

You clearly didn't watch the Jags Broncos game.

Let's take a look at this..
First play of the game, the DL owns Eric Fisher and QB has no chance.
Next series, QB a
Can't even complete his drop back bc Charles forgot to block the blitzing LB. Sack and punt.

Literally every first down was horrible when we ran until the end of the game. It was awful. That out us in 3rd down and long several times.
Alex needs to improve, but I think the OL is the bigger problem here.

Hell Alex got out of a sack in the 2nd half and ran for a first down when the OL crumbled

With our stellar D, there is postseason hope.

The offense cant get any worse than it is right now. I would expect maybe a trade to help at receiver. I don't think they can possibly think that long term McCluster is an nfl caliber slot receiver.

Hemingway to the slot.

Fixed.

You hit the nail on the head. The offensive talent, including qb, needs to be badly upgraded.

BADLY.

I don't think Chiefs fans can objectively look and see that as far as skill positions go, the Chiefs are near the bottom of the NFL.

And I mean that seriously.

Yeah. I wish it were at simple. Apparently, there is something that Andy Reid or Doug, don't like.

I am not sure what that is. Maybe he is stupid? Cause every time I see him play, he seems to get open.

We seemed to be getting about 3-4 YPC on first down after the first quarter.

The OL didn't play well in the first half, but it seemed they did in the second but Smith was a little gunshy. When they gave him time, he's got to make teams pay ie the pass to Avery etc.
