I don't know if he will or not, but being able to walk out on top is likely hard to pass up. My guess is that if he's healthy, that he'll return - they need to find a way to cheat the cap to resign the DT and JT, though. :D

Oh...they'll "find" a way..... :) Hell, they'll probably find a way to steal 2 or 3 free agent receivers from other teams for his royal highness. Sanders comes to mind immediately. One thing I believe the Chiefs front office has learned - is NEVER trust a man's word any longer. Get it in writing NOW.

For his royal highness, he won't walk away. It's all he knows. His old man made sure of that. Now Eli? Watch him on Sunday - he's just going through the motions. I truly believe that he's only playing because he doesn't want to upset Daddy.

Wow. It just occurred to me that Emanuel Sanders simply followed Peyton's model to get to play with Peyton. Holy **** I hate that whole city right now...

The whole organization just reeks... the low blocks that push the spirit of the rules, the pick plays that push and exceed the spirit of the rules, the greased jerseys, already been caught cheating the cap once etc etc etc.

Then, they pay fivehead a massive contract and lo and behold the very next year they're able to bring in THREE MORE big money free agents... its bullshit.

Now, if this all comes back to bite them in the ass a year or two from now, if they really struggle with the cap and struggle to retain talent, then I'll change my tune... but they damn well wont and everybody knows it.

He wanted to go to Denver from the beginning of free agency. He said that he would call his agent every day and ask "Did they (Denver) call?".

Denver didn't pay Emmanuel Sanders any more money than KC was offering, either they matched the numbers or payed a little bit less. If Brandon Lafell would have came to Denver instead of deciding to go to NE, Sanders would most likely be in KC right now.

They will lose some good players next year. DT, Julius, Welker, Knighton, Chris Harris, Rahim Moore and Orlando Franklin are all FA's next year. There is no way Denver will be able to sign all of them unless Manning retires, we'll probably lose 3 or 4 of those guys next year.

Denver had to break off talks with both Thomas's this week because they couldn't reach an agreement. Welker is also due. They have a lot of cap decisions to make next year. All the chips have been pushed in for this year, price paid for a team that looks this good. Despite all the crazy conspiracy theories Broncos are under the same cap as everyone else, they're just better at managing it than some others.

It's pretty simple. Denver isn't paying $10 million combined to a bad TE (Fasano), a DL who isn't allowed on the field (Walker), and a backup QB.

I'd speculate that it boils down to players who are already so rich they can't spend it all and them wanting a ring; those players want to go to places like Denver so they may actually get that ring.

Between folks like PM being good and he's also the NFL's darling, it's a safe bet that they'll get a chance in Denver. And they'll play for less for that chance.

MagicHef 10-24-2014 10:32 AM

It's interesting to note how Ware was old and broken this summer, now he's a pro bowler who Denver shouldn't have been able to afford.

Hey, I missed the boat on Ware, I will give you that.

BigMeatballDave 10-24-2014 11:29 AM

Ware is a class act.

It's a shame he's had to spend his career with cowpoke and donkey scum.
