exactly. the bengals offense is built to destroy zone heavy teams. a lot of our success in this game will ride on our corners ability to win a few one on one matchups. if chase and higgins are just burning us in man all game it might be the death of us.

i also hope the bengals having a predictable offense will allow spags to scheme up some specific coverages for some of their favorite plays. bc their offense might be the most simplistic in the sport.

It's going to be tough, we've played Chase before and he's been dominant, and against guys that were more experienced.

If we beat Bengals it's because we've found a way to do things we've not before. They're going to double Jones and expect our DEs and remaining DTs to do nothing. Ideally one or more of them has the game of their lives and gets quick pressure.

But I honestly don't know if that's what decides it. The Bengals get the ball out so damn fast I'm not sure our DL winning quick will be as significant as our secondary making Burrow play just a tad slower. So I think you're right. We're going to need a constant, perfect mix of safety cover, some CBs manning up, LB coverage and play identification and relentless DL pursuit.

I hate the Bengals offence. For the most part it's just been Burrow lobbing up contested catches to Chase and Higgins. I would LOVE to see us bamboozle these f***ers just once.

Seems like our corners will need to be physical and disrupt the timing of this offense. Kinda like defenses were doing to Miami at the end there. Question is, if Tolbert will let them play..
