and you guys are going to flip your shit all spring and summer.

But I think it'll work out.

Count me in that camp that would be livid if Mooney was the big add to this room.

I’m just less optimistic that a trade is to be had. Like I said earlier, you can’t pin your plans on that. You can consider it as an option and be open to it, but you can’t build the off-season plan around it.

I have no idea, but not usually, if we pick around where we're currently slotted.

If we want to draft OT in the first (we should) we definitely need to trade up to around the middle of the first.

I think you underestimate the cost of a sure fire stud WR in free agency.

I also think people are discounting just how disturbingly, historically bad this WR corps outside of Rice was this year.

JAGS are literally HUGE upgrades.

Mooney lost his #1 target spot due to injury, and when he got back, it was filled. Fields looks for DJ Moore, and then dumps it to Kmet (TE). He ain't going through any progressions.

Mooney's floor is JAG, but there's still a lot of upside there, and he won't be $20m plus.

Because a $20m plus WR is almost certainly not happening.

If Veach is going to commit assets to the WR room, **** half ass measures. That's how we ended up with scrubs like MVS and Toney that bottomed out yet still cost us a relatively decent chunk of capital, whether that be cap space or picks. Mooney has shown **** all in 2 full seasons now.

Anyway, I'm going to try to just butt out of these conversations.

I just harsh everybody's mellow.

Hey, I'd normally advocate exactly for a move like that, but the offensive staff has completely lost the benefit of the doubt on this. Most of the room has completely lost their confidence and cratered and even Rice is largely just the benefactor of force feeding instead of any actual development in his route trees.

Super Bowl please and thank you.

I think Evans might be the most realistic target for us if his age lowers his price tag enough. But someone might offer him a ridiculous deal with the season he's had.

I don't think Odunze is realistic unless we move up. If we had Rice and Evans, then I'd want someone fast from the draft like Legette, Egbuka, Franklin, or Worthy.

That's why he will be available for 10-12.

Hollywood will cost more at 16-17 as a guess.

It is our front office's job to see more than the average fan and understand who can play and who cannot beyond just production numbers.

That's why I like Mooney as a buy low candidate because you see the skillset and you see the poor use by the Bears.

If Veach wants less risk then you pay more for a Hollywood, etc.

Either way, you still need to add value vet and a #1 pick at WR if they don't find a guy they want to pay 20 million plus to.

If that's the best Veach can do then he failed. Full stop. Quit 'almost' bringing in high end talent at the position like Brown and get this shit done. We got Toney for 'cheap' because he flashed talent both at Florida and at the Giants, but it seemed like he just wasn't in the right spot, yeah? Well, he's bottomed out now. MVS was what he was, right? A 3rd tier FA we could get in and maybe elevate. Nope, he's absolutely bottomed out as well. Both will have their abject worst seasons as professionals. We don't even need to rehash the complete disaster that has been Skyy Moore. So no. No more reclamation projects. Spend the premium for the high end talent because this staff has shown they can't be trusted to elevate players.

Pretty darn good question

Ok, so 49'ers just became the first team in history for the RB, TE, and x2 WRs to have 1k+ yards... which has me thinking, we're actually not that far off from this incredible rare accomplishment.

Kelce, Pacheco, and Rice are all in the 900's right now and depending on who sits this weekend might achieve 1k. It's also been a down year for Mahomes at -1k yards compared to last season. Say we added Hopkins in FA or Evans at the trade deadline, they are highly likely to achieve 1k yards.

Ultimately, we may be just x1 alpha WR away from accomplishing the same on a good year.

"B-b-but Rashee Rice!!!" Yeah, he's been a nice story, but unfortunately the production he's been getting was largely forcefed targets behind the LOS and it didn't translate to actual results on the field for the team. Just go and look at the game logs. His uptick in production is when the team started losing. It's taken until mid December but they've FINALLY started to use him as more than a glorified screen and slot machine and wouldyalookatthat, he's actually able to help us win games now. God, this offensive staff needs chucked into a wood chipper and Reid needs a boot up his ass for letting shit stagnate to this standard.

I guess if leading the entire league in YAC isn't translating, I'm not sure what to tell you.
