LMAO I always love when Lebron stans call the Warriors titles with KD 'fraudulent' when the 2 Heat titles he won actually did involve blatant tampering and salary cap manipulation to fit 3 superstars on the same team.

Sassy Squatch 05-21-2023 05:54 PM

The Heatles will always be more illegitimate than the KD Warriors simply because of just how blatantly Lebron, Wade, and Bosh conspired together to bypass the checks and balances that were meant to keep parity in the league. Always bizarre when I see crying about super teams because Lebron invented the trend.

Talk about your false equivalencies when the #2 and #3 players team up to beat the #1 player in the world because it's the only way they can. LMAO

Yeah, stars never facilitated teaming up with each other in the NBA before LeBron. LMAO

It all started with the Decision, though.

Sassy Squatch 05-21-2023 06:02 PM

Damn. Kind of killed your own argument with that article, I'm afraid. Teams pulling off sign and trades and ending up with superteams isn't the same as 3 stars colluding over half a decade, down to the length of contract and how much each would leave on the table, in order to all fit under the cap. A valiant effort, though.

You're right, I'm sure no superstars before LeBron ever talked with other superstars to facilitate such moves with their organizations. Definitely never happened. LMAO

Feel free to provide examples. But I doubt you're going to come close to Lebron, Wade, and Bosh making plans in 2006 to line up their contracts to hit unrestricted free agency at the same time then each take 15 million less than they're eligible for to make it even work.

But saying that titles don't matter at all is even dumber than saying they're all that matters.

I don't think Brady's the GOAT when it's all said and done with Mahomes, but I'm also not going to pretend that his championships don't matter.

That is EXACTLY why I say you're the other side of that coin.

You have to pretend that championships are irrelevant to the discussion, which is an awfully convenient (and moronic) position for a Lebron Stan.

It's like me trying to say that longevity doesn't matter at all. It's absurd. It's all part of the equation.

And deep down, you know this, hence why you are so desperate for Lebron to win more, even as the 2nd option. It's exactly why you hate the Warriors and Curry so much. You aren't fooling anybody. That's the irony of you claiming "you expose yourself in regards to your actions..."

Arguing with you about this is absolutely futile, because you're 100% bad faith.

I agree with this take. I believe MJ is the GOAT as well as Brady but for long time I believed Montana was. Why? It is not just about how many championships they won but it is that they were undefeated as well. People tend to forget that part. Brady for his part just won so many that he has to be in front of Montana now.

As far as Mahomes goes, listen I am one if not the biggest Mahomes lover here but people need to tap the brakes on GOAT talk for now. He has a long way to go so let's just enjoy it.

If I was privy to the internal communications of various NBA superstars, I would. But there are plenty of examples of superstars coming together prior to LeBron and it would be naive to think such players didn’t have such discussions despite being on different teams.

He was absolutely washed then and now. You have no memory of Kevin Love at his peak if you don’t think so.

KC_Connection 05-21-2023 06:33 PM

Love is shooting under 40% overall and under 30% from three this season while averaging 8 points a game with no defense. He’s a very bad player.

And as I say that, Love hits a three

Just because he’s washed doesn’t mean he can’t contribute. Same goes for Kyle Lowry. They are fractions of the players they used to be but they have value.

He averaged 13 points a game and provided no defensive value. The Cavs had literally been trying to get rid of his contract since LeBron left with no takers.

KC_Connection 05-21-2023 07:00 PM

Like is Lowry not washed because he has great moments/games still like in these playoffs? I suppose it comes down to your definition of “washed” because Love isn’t even as good a player these days as Lowry.

You would think they would have to. It's rare to see a complete lay down from a team in a game 3 of a conference final. Embarrassing. At least my Suns are off the hook as biggest "lay down like a dying dog" of the playoffs.

Trade Brown
Fire Mazzulla
Trade Dumb (I mean Smart)
Ask Horford to retire. If he doesn't, cut him.
Get Tatum a real ball handler to play next to.

I played it off as Simmons being a total homer, but he might be right. They're so ****ing talented, but the fact that they can't bring effort down 2 in game 3 is atrocious. Especially seeing what they where capable of under Udoka.

I'm not sure I've ever seen coaching have that kind of impact.

Well Denver did beat Miami twice this year. Seems most have been counting out Miami (most in this thread) and yet here they are. We kind of expected Denver to compete somewhat but Miami came out of left field.

Would be a great series and something new for the finals besides Labron or the Warriors.

Their coach appears in over his head, but the players don't get a pass for how this season ended. This just exposes that something has been rotten in them the entire time that Udoka was somehow able to hide for his time there.

It’s a total stretch other than an injury to Jokic.

It would take the best ball Bam has played and at least a couple Butler other worldly games and cold shooting form Denver.

3 days of misses and 1 make. Guys putting up Dillon Brooks numbers from the stratosphere.

Those guys are awesome.

Unlike the Bitchtics, the Nuggets like their coach and play as a team. It will be impressive if Miami wins more than 1 game in the Finals. Great run by the Heat though.

I’ll be cheering for Miami. I don’t want Denver fans to have any joy.

What keeps Kobe from being in that conversation? Apparently lots of rx NBA players are complete morons and their opinions don't count when talking about who the greatest is because there are lots that think Kobe is.

I like basketball players who don't die in helicopter crashes, personally.

I hate teams with lame or unfortunate-sounding mascots, but I'm fine with letting Denver fans have this consolation prize.

They really want the Broncos to be winning and would trade 100 years of losing Nuggets seasons for just a couple years of success for the Donks right now, but fate instead is going to give them "wellllll, how about one of these other lovely sports championships???"

They have to smile through it while still being sad and feel very conflicted. I like the idea of that.
