God damn this shouldn't piss me off, but it's so ****ing stupid I can't stand it.
If the tournament didn't have some "crapshoot" involved, then UNC and Nova would have been the #1 and #2 going into the tournament. But they weren't. The fact that they are now #1 and #2 is PROOF that the tournament doesn't shake out with simply the best teams advancing. What in the actual hot **** does it take to get this through to you people? |
I mean are you so ****ing stupid that you think a 1-6 game sample size is actually MORE accurate for rankings than a 30 game sample size?
Are you seriously arguing that in a tournament of 64 teams, each with different styles, players, philosophies, skill sets, and VIRTUALLY INFINITE RANDOM FACTORS that 100% of the time, the better teams advance, and that the best teams are ALWAYS in the championship? |
If you're saying these aren't the 2 best teams, I'll politely disagree.

A team like Syracuse has the extra bonus of a playoff savvy coach. Roy Williams, Coach K, Cal, Boeheim and Jim Calhoun coached teams will always have an edge on the others. |

Here was your Sweet Sixteen according to seed South: 1,2,3,5 West: 1,2,3,4 East: 1,5,6,7 Midwest: 1,4,10,11 Enough with the "Crapshoot" talk. It's an excuse for KU's underperformance in the playoffs. We all think KU's a good program and Self is a good coach. But there is a flaw and hopefully he'll figure it out eventually. |
