Either Andy is asking too much of him or the AFC is getting to know how to stop him.

Alex is notorious for doing poorly in the 1st year in a system. He started out so well, I thought he would buck that trend this year. Maybe not.

Whatever he does this year, I guarantee he will be better next year as he comes to master Andy's system. The only caveat is that he may never see his 49ers level of efficiency passing more than 30 times every game. I just don't know.

You just don't want to see the trend above with your starting QB.

That level of fail is usually for INTs or the easy misses.

The passes down the field 30 yards and near the sidelines are passes over 100 feet away. He missed them by maybe 10 feet.
He is an NFL QB so you'd like him to put 1 of those 2 within reach.

Passer rating went up from last week. 240 and a rushing TD. That int wasn't really his fault

if the Fasano TD counts as what it was and we dont have to take knees at the end its 31-16. Largely because of good defense and Alex's converting today. He had 2 bad plays, the rest was a nice efficient game. He did just face the # 1 pass defense today.... the rest of the season shows some favorable games for him to do well.

The bad plays stand out b/c they occur with more frequency than the good plays.

The team was a **** hair from losing today because Alex disappeared, completely, in the 4th quarter. The defense had to put forth yet another HERCULEAN effort. It was like Derrick ****ing Thomas himself was out there once again.

No, I wasn't. But I am able to be objective and fair, unlike some of you. Alex Smith had some good drives today. He made some mistakes, just as I said, but the interception was not his fault. He had a decent day today.

This too, I cant believe people act like defense won the game today.. is was a very MEDIOCRE DAY for everybody. Alex made 2 mistakes.

Want to know what makes Alex so great? When he makes mistakes, they can still win the game. When other QBs make mistakes, it can cost them 14 POINTS.

Did you watch the first half? Casey Kasem had all freaking day to throw, and shredded the defense the whole half.
