The furthest he was falling was #3. He was by no means certain to be the #1 pick when KU lost against Stanford, though, which should be enough to stop your nonsense in its tracks (but well, it is you).

He put up a week's worth of monster games, secured his spot, and went into self preservation mode...which is exactly what he should have done.
You can troll KU fans with silly baseless narratives based on assumptions that don't even fit the facts all you want, but saying it again won't make it any more true.

Game, set, match, KCC.

Yeah Saul, you're full of it.

Are you telling me you watched that game and saw the best player in college basketball busting his ass? He managed only 4 points, 1 assist, and 4 rebounds because Josh Huestis locked him down?

Perry Ellis (a better college player than Wiggins) just put up an almost identical 4 point, 5 rebound, 1 assist line against Villanova. Somehow I don't think it was because he wasn't trying hard.

We saw a team that lost the #1 pick in the draft to injury have trouble regrouping, and without that dynamic, Stanford was able to adjust its game plan to stop Wiggins. It no longer had to worry about Embiid.

Teams are not parts. When you take out a key piece, the dynamic is not the same. Blaming a player for that is a bit unfair. Your charge is nothing but supposition. I could say he was preoccupied with a fight he had with a girlfriend and therefore did not play well and it has just as much validity as the theory you pulled out of your ass.

The simple answer is the team dynamic changed, we didn't react to it well and Stanford drew up a good game plan to take advantage of it.

A good coach who actually knows offense doesn't allow Wiggins or Ellis to get 5 shots in a game. But unfortunately, ours allows this kind of garbage to occur. Which is precisely the other coach's game plan, which precisely proves my point about him. He can't coach in games. He does everything else phenomenal but that

The same coach with the same amount of tournament wins (and more overall wins) since arriving at KU as your "greatest coach in American sports history" over there. Just terrible stuff from Bail. LMAO

Finally you admit that "trying hard" has almost nothing to do with anything in big games!

Nice strawman. The fact that Perry Ellis' (or Andrew Wiggins' for that matter) struggles in a basketball game had nothing to do with effort doesn't mean that effort isn't a big part of sports success.

It is impossible to deny, for example, that Dwight Howard has half assed just about every game he's played for the Rockets for months now. He's not exactly an unusual case either in the NBA. Nor can it be said that Draymond Green's unreal consistent effort level isn't a positive in his game.

Calling out KCC = "strawman"

ROFL

No, propping up a strawman is specifically what BWillie did there (My post didn't contain the suggestion that effort doesn't play a role in sports and my suggestion that Perry Ellis' bad game was not due to poor effort has nothing to do with my opinion on that larger/separate issue).

You should be quite familiar with it. You engage in the tactic quite frequently in your trolling sessions here.

The coach with the highest win % of any coach at KU can't coach games. Lol

Bragg is up to 245? That's good. He needs to put on weight. Anyone know what his weight was last year.
