Agreed. If Carl had pulled the trigger on that it would have been hard to fault him. IMO, it was a win-win.

I'm just glad Oakland didn't take that deal. They were foolish not to.

That's who I thought we were going to get if Dorsey didn't fall.

Ultra Peanut 04-26-2008 01:45 PM

Aww, I was kind of hoping Gholston had cursed out the other GMs and would fall to 17.

Mr. Kotter 04-26-2008 01:45 PM

I was 99% SURE that Dorsey would NOT be available.

WOW. Just wow.

Maybe life/our luck is looking up for us afterall ....DJ falls into our laps, Bowe, and now Dorsey.

The guys that are watching from home (and being video'd for ESPN) have hats from ALL the teams so they can put it on when they're picked. My guess is the Chiefs were selecting so he had the KC hat ready. I'm sure he has a Pats hat in his hand right now.

I don't think they could pass him if he fell, he's a top 10 talent.

Petro making a good point. We could be in a holding pattern until #10, waiting to see what's available for NO's pick. So the trade goes through if somebody we wants on the baord.

I'm not saying that's the case, but it's a possibility.

Frazod 04-26-2008 01:46 PM

Well, the NFL certainly predicted the studs correctly. Six guys, six picks, nobody butthurt waiting for the phone to ring late into the round.

Pass up at least two number one's and a second for DMC!?

Thank God for their stupidity.

Tank and Dorsey in the middle will be keeping us smiling for many years.

What do we do then with 3 bodies? Move DE to MLB?

Exactly.....trade up and grab Chris Williams. Then go BPA in the 2nd and I'm ****ing ecstatic for the rest of the day.

Don't even kid around with that shit. We got the best player in the draft!
