lets not blow our wads yet, people loved *****'s fa signings and sucked the shit out of that hype juice until they had to eat their own crow and turn on him

tons of people on here thought peyton hillis and stanford routt were going to be saviors that took us back to the division crown and ran their mouths all offseason then had to hide when the season started cause of how awful those players were while trying to give them every excuse possible

If Mark Sanchez didn't suck, Sean Smith would have been burned for 2 more TDs last year.

Sean Smith drops interceptions.

Sean Smith gets burnt.

Sean Smith can't tackle.

These are all undeniable facts.

Had you lead with this argument, I probably wouldn't have given you any trouble about it.

Though I think a clarification is necessary. He can be burned, but that's usually only by smaller, speedy receivers. A bunch of good cornerbacks share that in common. I wouldn't call him a bad tackler, he's just not an exceptional or physical one. Not a "hit stick" type of guy despite looking the part.

Only interceptions from elite quarterbacks count now?

My side hurts.
I can't.

I'm not talking about just because it was Brunell he picked off it doesn't matter. But it was a late 30's Brunell who couldn't throw a bullet pass to save his life, and it will be a bit harder to do that against a QB who throws a football harder than a pee wee player, don't you think?

Point is, he won't be doing that in the regular season, and he never has. And if you don't think a big reason he even did it was because it was pre-season to show himself to the coaches then I don't know what to tell you.

Got beaten by a nicely run stop and go and a solid double move.
We were talking about his hands though, no?
Oh...This is the part where we move the goalposts?

mcaj22 03-14-2013 06:23 PM

yea but he got beat by a crappy WR how is he going to hang with good ones

You realize that pass play wouldn't call for that kind of throw, no?

Yes, because the R2 pick of the Dolphins that year was in imminent danger of being cut in the fourth preseason game on their schedule.

He wasn't in danger if being cut, but he was battling a starting position with Jason Allen. He was definitely doing it to show off to the coaches and it worked.

He ended up losing his starting position back to Jason Allen a year later.

I led with that argument TWO WEEKS AGO. I've been ranting against this turd since it was mentioned that the Chiefs might sign him.

The only reason I even brought up the fact he drops interceptions like they're 500 degree rocks was because someone said he had good hands. Bullshit, he does.

This is good right? This is bad right?

I saw him play in person last season. I can tell you that fin fans wanted to keep him. Supposedly he's been steadily improving. I can tell you he has hands of stone because I personally saw him drop three picks and from what I hear he dropped a lot more but that means he was freaquently in position to pick off passes. My fin fans friends have said that this is a really good pick up for us. I'm happy with this and believe we may have just picked up an ascending player. Dudes got amazing size for a corner. When was the last time we were this active in FAcy. Very refreshing to not sit on our hands and wait till all the decent guys are gone before getting the cheapest guys left over. Love it.

Are you serious?

This is like comparing Alex Smith to Tom Brady.

Actually that's probably unfair to Alex Smith. He's probably a better player than Sean Smith, who is terrible, terrible, terrible.

No they didn't. A lot of them hated his guts.

I posted like 20 replies from Dolphin fans being relieved he was gone. They didn't want him back.
