Meh. There were 6-1 at this time last year.

Our schedule is much more difficult this year. These Broncos have played well

Let's not forget that 6 of Denver's last nine games are away. That means they've played at home a LOT up until now. And I TOTALLY think Denver has HUGE HUGE HUGE home field advantage because of the low O2... NOT THEIR FANS!! Anybody who runs a sea level, flies to Denver, then goes on their regular 3 mile run knows what I'm talking about! It takes a while, and it isn't 2-3 days!

So, I'm hoping that these other teams aren't as gassed in the second half and kicks their asses when the O2 factor is taken away..

The Colts had the ball with a chance to tie the game. Slice it any way you want. I prefer objectivity. It was a story of two halves and, in the end, it was a close game.

Denver wasn't playing very well early in the season, we had too many penalties, drops and blown coverages earlier in the year.

People have been blowing that team for its play since week one, so quit with the bullshit.

How did the refs give us the Charger game? We were flagged more than they were.

The wrongfully overturned fumble call changed the game. Instead of the Chargers going into the half with a lead and getting the ball, it ended up with the Broncos going in with the lead. That was a huge (10-14 points) turnaround.

Altitude is totally the reason the Broncos are good. No question.

Oh, I think it's clear they have many talented players, I think many are even questioning how they have so many (remember???), I'm simply highlighting another very tangible advantage the enjoy.

Point taken. To say their fans aren't good is pure bitterness though...

I've been there, they're fine (even if they suck at tailgating!!)... And yeah, I'm allowed to be bitter, so **** off my friend!

RunKC 10-24-2014 02:15 PM

As much as I hate the Donkeys idk who can beat them in the conference. Maybe Indy? It will probably be a Denver/Philly SB

Worst case scenario is Denver/Dallas SB. Holy hell that would be unbearable.

It wasn't a fumble...

On the fumble that was reversed the forearm was down before ball came loose. Forearm down before elbow.
— Dean Blandino (@DeanBlandino) October 24, 2014

Know what else was huge? The refs not calling Gates for a pushoff on 4th and goal.

The refs also called back a 50 yard TD run by Hillman in that game. Denver outplayed San Diego in every faze of that game, the refs had nothing to do with Denver winning.

All the chips have been pushed in for this year, price paid for a team that looks this good. Despite all the crazy conspiracy theories Broncos are under the same cap as everyone else, they're just better at managing it than some others.

If all that comes to pass, I'll take it back and admit I was wrong.

BUT, the cap situation is separate from all of the envelope pushing your team does with the rules... your team is the only one thats constantly called out around the league for the low blocks and pick plays, its NOT just the AFCW teams that hate you for it.

True enough, and while I wasnt one of them, I'll provide something of a mea culpa for those who did by saying it was just a lot of wishful thinking typed into words.

How much of the cap is KC using and how much of that is dead money? Because, honestly, you all sound like a pack of whiny bitches with swollen labia in this thread.

Solid post, props. Not that I give a **** about legal blocks or rub plays.

Dean Blandino (VP of officiating) discussing the Caldwell fumble play...

http://nflcommunications.com/2014/10...-video-week-7/

Fast forward to about the 3 minute and 30 second mark.

"Slight movement of the football does not constitute a loss of control". The forearm was down before Caldwell lost possession.

Pepe Silvia 10-24-2014 02:31 PM

I don't care how great Denvers moves are, theyre not earning any of these wins.
