That’s the Mahomes Freudian Id timeline. O Brien would have just let Pat step back and do whatever he wanted with Prime Hopkins, Fuller and Coutee running routes down field.

Would have been such a bizarro world 2019 Divisional watching a Mahomes led team taking on Alex Smith + Dalvin Cook Chiefs team.

(Though, like many of us, the word is now that the Chiefs brass were convinced they reached their ceiling with Alex after the 2016 playoff loss to the Steelers. It’s interesting and horrifying to wonder which QB they would have drafted in 2018 had they missed on Mahomes the previous year).
