Not me, the Lakers are shit this year and I will be the first to agree that Kobe single handedly has caused it. If they really could not get Kobe and Shaq to reconcile then I understand keeping Kobe for the longer term career, but Mitch did a horrid job on all the trades. He ain't no Jerry West. Lakers need to get lucky in the lottery.

Mitch? I thought Kobe was GM with all the personnel changes he demanded.

He certainly shares in the blame. He does not understand the concept of team and will never realize his full potential unless he overcomes that huge shortcoming.

The Lakers, other than Kobe, should just take the ball out of bounds, throw it in to Kobe, and let the MFUGGer dribble it up the court and score.

You just described the entire NBA, with only a couple exceptions.

Steve Nash comes to mind.

Really, the Regular season isn't much more than a whole bunch of high powered pick up games.

They don't bear down until the playoffs, which is why I refuse to watch the shit until then.

Lakers need to do whatever they can to pick up a center and resign Phil.

You honestly think Phil Would come back with Kobe? I just don't see it happening unless Kobe asks, and by that I mean pleads on his hands an knees, Phil to come back to the Lakers

They were trying to make it happen this season but I think Phil wanted to let the chips fall where they may and not try picking up the pieces just yet. They will certainly make a serious run at him IMO, I think that's why they didn't go out and get a new coach to replace Rudy this year. Yes the Kobe/Phil thing needs to gell but say about Kobe what you will he doesn't like losing either. With Phil comes the ability to pick up many players you might not have as well. Lakers have a lot of fat they can cut off this squad, they need to.

It's tuff learning what it's like to lose after your so used to winning all the time. Most teams are built the other way around.
