you guys need to relax.
The man has built a team that hosted 3 straight AFC Championship games and went to back to back Super Bowls. He's got a ****ing plan. It's going to be okay. |

The MOST important task for Veach is to rebuild the line to be as good or better for opening day 2021 as it was for opening day 2020. Beyond ANYTHING ELSE......Veatch needs to fix this OL and give Mahomes the ability to set and survey, instead of running around the field all game long. At this point.... we have a world class LG.....a medical doctor who sat out last season (and not much in 19), a turnstile in Wylie, a broke Dick in Long who blew leading up to him walking away, a part time center that couldn’t unseat Reiter, a rookie Covid causality, Remmers waiting for a contract offer, a couple of practice squad JAGS. At this point...signing Long, knowing the scope and gravity of fixing this line is......disappointing to say the least, and he’s got a whole lot of work ahead of him...a LOT. |

The issue is there isn’t a lot of top end players out there available
Probably have to trade |

Jesus Christ man. Chill out. They’re not going to going into 2021 with a pair of tackles they feel as good about as they did entering 2020, with as few questions. Injuries drove that. But they are going to go into it stronger inside (especially if they draft a C high or sign Andrews). And they’ll either have a vet who is reasonably similar to Fisher and a high upside rookie, or two high upside guys. Stop acting like the season starts tomorrow. |

Gonna be more time struggling to attack a gaps in the run game.
None of these guys are exceptional run blockers on the IOL. |

Bad team players don’t do dirty work over the middle like Smith-Schuster does. He’s a good teammate who is respected and liked. |

They went full court press on Williams having Mahomes call him etc

I think you misread or something. No way the chief/Mahomes did that and let it leak that they did. |
Quote:
Established NFL players recruit free agents to come to their teams every year, and Trent Williams was getting his fair share of calls and texts in this cycle, too. One recruiter, however, stood out. It was Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback who was last seen running for his life from Buccaneers pass rushers in the Super Bowl. According to those privy to the conversations, Mahomes made a strong pitch in texts and phone calls to Williams about joining him as the Chiefs’ new left tackle. |
Quote:
That's why I think o.city misread. Because that would be a dumb mistake for the chiefs to make. Not Mahomes talking to Williams. Players talk all the time. But to have it leak that they did would be really dumb. |

Prove that Mahomes didn’t do it on his own accord

2 years ago, Trent Brown agreed to a deal 9 minutes after the legal tampering period started. I’m sure his agent wasn’t talking to the Raiders at all before then.

I'm not all too bummed about missing out on him. The talent is insane but that contract at his age with those injury concerns?
|
Starting to sweat a bit on the LT situation. They went hard after Trent Williams but now that plan A fell through we’re trying to see what plan B is.
It can’t be Reiff bc he’s been available for awhile and he surely would have been contacted by now and the same goes for Villanueva. I have to wonder if Dillard is plan B? |

Maybe a packaged deal for Dillard and Ertz? |

The line isn't going to be All-World. You guys need to get over it.
Patrick doesn't need an All-World line. We'll be fine as long as we don't have five garbage cans out there again. |
I don’t think Reiff is in the plans, no. Cincy is looking at him tomorrow which would probably be as a RT prospect. Word is he is better playing on the right side.
Jason Peters type of player + Remmers + R1 OT? Let the first rounder start. I’d prefer we find a way to pry Tunsil from Houston. |

Wr is worrying me more now. Not much left after juju and golladay and I don't know if we are players in that upper tier wr market. A lot of us like Curtis Samuel and marvin jones in that tier below juju and golladay but they are gone now. Who do we get if not juju or golladay? What else is good on this market? |
