Maybe we'll PH Orlando for Rios. He has a flair for the dramatic.

Costas is that you?

I'm a staunch liberal but this series makes me want to defund Planned Parenthood.

Pretty much.

Potentially sad last AB as a Royal for Gordo.

100% in favor of this. Zero downside whatsoever.

These guys used up all the postseason magic last year.

alnorth 10-12-2015 01:37 PM

I don't even understand why they tried to steal 3rd in the first place. While Gordon is up, sure but with 2 outs? The benefit of Gore being at third instead of 2nd is very small.

Why Not? 10-12-2015 01:37 PM

How about the face of the franchise the past decade do anything worth a shit when he had the chance. Maybe it's a bs call but I'm not wasting energy on the umpires. This was a good team(not great, need starting pitching for that), that ran into an energetic team coming off a WC win that we know can fire your team up. Honestly, the series was most likely lost after game 1. We don't win in this stadium. Period

penbrook 10-12-2015 01:37 PM

Orlando is clutch just saying

Yep. And they ditched the 5-run-per-inning rule.

In didn't in the Texas/Toronto series. I wonder if it's the same umpire or what. Because it was the exact same play, but apparently a guys arm is now considered a part of the glove. Incredible. And how in the world is it illegal to block home plate, but a third baseman can lower his knee to block third base? Doesn't make sense to me.

Bob Dole 10-12-2015 01:38 PM

Our marquee players were not marquee. WE've got what, 4 players batting under .150 in the series?

DeezNutz 10-12-2015 01:38 PM

Runner on = Davis.

Yeah, I know.

It's just like those plays at 2b where the 2b bobbles the ball a little bit on the exchange and they started calling guys safe. Come the **** on - that was not why we have replay. Or that play in the Dodgers game where Tejada didn't get his toe on the bag before Utley detonated him. That's not what replay exists for; it's not there to play gotchya.

I was dead-set against replay and I still hate it because you knew this was the likely outcome - ballgames and in fact entire seasons hang on a ticky tack call like that that just shouldn't matter that much.

I'm resigned to it, but I still don't have to like it.
