Venables has a pretty secure job right now. With the state KU is in, I'm not sure I see him jumping ship within the conference . That being said, Venables makes around $500k a year if I remember correctly. So a potential 400% pay increase can change that line of thinking fairly quickly

Venables has inteeviewed a few times and never gotten an offer. I think he's just never made the cut....
I think he'd be great for KU (as a KSU fan). |

Just heard Fedora is officially going to NC... that shoe has dropped which (from my understanding) was the one everyone was waiting on before moving forward with their decisions.

Larry Fedora has reached agreement to become the new coach at North Carolina, a source confirmed to ESPN's Joe Schad. Fedora led Southern Miss to an upset of previously undefeated Houston in the Conference USA championship game. The Golden Eagles finished the season 11-2 and will play Nevada in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. Fedora was 33-19 at Southern Miss, his first head coaching job after assistant coaching positions at Florida and Oklahoma State. Fedora's deal is subject to approval by North Carolina chancellor Holden Thorp, as well as the university's board of trustees. The Tar Heels are looking for a permanent coach to replace Butch Davis, who was fired shortly before training camp amid an NCAA investigation into the program. |
