A good example of that is this exchange:

E: I'm fine with you staying over, if you want to.
Ashley: I'm not going to.
E: That's fine.
Ashley: I am.
E: That's fine.
(Repeat 3 times over)
Ashley: Well, it doesn't sound like it.
E: I already said I'm fine with it if you want to.
Ashley: Okay, than I will.

*Writers note: Oh shit, I gotta have something happen to avoid going into a 4th repeat*

Cue: Sloan on phone.
Ashley: gonna get that
E: No
Ashley: gonna get that
E: No:
(Repeat 2x)

*Oh shit I've got nothing else.*

END SCENE

Reminds me of some awkward conversations I've had with the new girl when the old one calls. I think they nailed it, personally.

Pehaps, but completely uninteresting and not worthy of including in a 20 minute episode.

Absolutely not.

But this show, while not "high-brow", at one point showed insight into the Hollywood Machine that had virtually never been seen before.

And now, we're relegated to "Celebrity Golf" and E's "big dilemma".

It's weak.

He's supposedly a multi-millionaire and a powerful Hollywood agent.

I abso-****ing-lutely guarantee you, that guy knows how to bang ****ing chick.

Probably on the rooftop at the Mondrian.

I'm glad that you're so easily entertained.

I guess my bar isn't set very high. This is the only TV show that I watch... besides LOST.

I rarely watch movies... so, I think I watch it for Piven hilarity... and tits and ass... and a chuckle.

Especially since I watch such little TV... it is when I actually turn my brain off. So, yeah...

E is supposed to be that guy? I don't think he is. I think that's kinda the point of his character development. He's not that guy yet.

I guess I'll just have to go back and re-watch the earlier seasons, then. It just doesn't seem very different to me.

Yeah.

If you're the agent to a Hollywood Superstar, you are that guy. And I'd say 100% of those people take full advantage of that fact, guy or girl.

That's one of the things that's so unrealistic as of late. He can get tail like Sloan and Ashley, yet he isn't that guy?

Gimme a break.

Silock 08-11-2009 12:17 AM

I don't think Ashley is that hot. I've seen guys get girls just as hot that aren't total douchebags. Maybe that wouldn't happen in Cali, though.

The point of E has always been that he isn't that guy and he never will be.

Liked this week's show. You guys think too much.

kcxiv 08-11-2009 05:24 AM

E has and always will be the bitch of the 4 guys. He's always tried to not be in vince's shadow, even though he is. he's always got offended at EVERYTHING. From season 1, up until now.

Vince, Drama and Turtle are always down to have fun. E has always had to be basically pushed into it. He's just a bitch character. There's nothing more to be said really. lol

Oh, I agree that it's representative of girls' logic or a conversation. No qualms on that front.

But, in a 20 minute episode, that scene represented about 1/5 of the episode. And what did it do? It did nothing.

Precisely.

Also, since most have voiced Ari as a reason to watch the show (which I normally agree with), can you explain to me why his character is utterly worthless right now?

No more in office meetings. No more him trying to get things done. No more him being stressed and hitting the casinos or something with the boys. No more true Ari-Wife chats. No more epic rants. The Lloyd humor is borderline reeruned at this point - to the point that Rex Lee has to be like WTF am I doing.

I think she's hot. She looks like a little freak in bed that loves to ****.

But she's no Sloan, that's for damn sure.

I think that one thing is certain. This show was never The Best show on Television, at any point. It was damn good, but I can think of plenty that are better.

I've always thought that. :D
