The NFL also defended the Seahawks/Packers call. Congrats, you're pointing to the one party that has a stake in people believing the officials aren't ****ing up.

Uh... not really. They said that Tate should have been called for PI, which would have resulted in a GB win. The only thing they "defended" was that a ruling of simultaneous possession goes to the offense. In essence, they said that the call was wrong and Green Bay should have won.

That was also what lead to the ref lockout ending, so obviously the league wasn't happy about it.
